South View Lodges

"This  location ticked all our boxes when booking: fishing holiday for husband's 50th, relaxing for me with hot tub and quiet location. Jill and Andrew were welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble (not that we had many queries). First let me stay considering it is so close to Exeter. Although opened 2 years ago, the decor was as pristine as the website images. Both bedrooms were beautifully decorated, with comfy beds and en-suite bathrooms and had underfloor heating throughout the property. The lounge, dining area and kitchen were all nicely decorated and had everything that you needed for the comforts from home. The outside seating  and hot tub were undercover so even when it did rain, we could enjoy it still.  The fishing was everything my husband hoped for, catching 10+ fish each day.  And to add to our enjoyment, we had alpacas in the field next to us. They came to watch us each day and we took advantage to go feed them one day: the boys, the girls and the babies. All too cute, and an Devon Show Awarding male as well! A treat. A great holiday and everything we wanted from it! "

"Checkin could have been better, had to fill all details on tablet but these details already provided on booking I presume. Good food service, nice steak. Convenient for our appointment next morning nearby. Would probably stay again if in the area."

"Great stop-off to Cornwall, Topsham is a nice town just outside Exeter with good amenities. This pub is friendly, rooms are clean and well-appointed."

The Exeter Inn

"Had a wander down here while staying in Bampton. It didn't have much to offer for the length of the walk, so we sadly didn't return. The barman was lovely and served us well, but then all we could hear was him complaining about his job to other customers, which let him down. Maybe had it been busier the atmosphere would have a bit more inviting."

"We had a fabulous stay in the Monmouth apartment. Beautiful, light and airy in the heart of Topsham near the Quay perfect for a quick pint at the LighterInn. Highly recommend this as an escape from the city. I wish I could stay for longer. Well equipped, clean apartment with a nautical theme and the breakfast in the cafe was wonderful. The staff were very kind and welcoming, already planning my next trip here!"

The Nobody Inn

"Just had dinner from the BBQ Menu (whilst the kitchen's being refurbished) which was absolutely amazing. We shared the beef brisket and the cauliflower complemented by the sides and salads and it was all just stunning on the palate. Can't wait to return to test the new menu once the new kitchen opens. Don't hesitate, just go. Adam the chef and his team were so friendly and welcoming. Fantstic experience all round !!!"

"Hidden beauty. The restaurant and rooms are to a high standard.we stayed in the mary suite you get choice or shower or bath I loved that. Slept like a baby the beds were so comfortable. Fridge with milk in tea,coffee great. Roast dinner was amazing 👏 hats of to that chef"

"The food was fine and the service OK, but be aware that the menu and pricing are nothing like what’s on their website. We went in based on what we saw on the website, and the menu was much more limited than we expected (themed nights), and the food somewhat more expensive."
