The location is excellent for a walk to the Old city (8 mins by feet) and Varosha (abandoned part of Famagusta, 40 mins by feet). I was greeted with free early check (at midday) and complimentary drink. Spacious room had a view on the Old city. Minibar at additional cost. Good breakfast. The receptionist helped me with my plans first and ordered taxi for me to Deryneia check point last.

Modern, clean and quiet hotel for the surrounding environment. The rooms and bathrooms are large and clean. International breakfast, plentiful and whatever you ask for, if available, will be given to you or cooked as per your instructions. Friendly and helpful staff. The Hotel has a Spa with a very nice and clean swimming pool. Where to stay calm and spend a few hours. It is open from early morning until 9pm in the evening. I recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area.

The Port View Hotel is located in a new part of Famagusta, directly on a four-lane thoroughfare opposite a supermarket. The surroundings are not very inviting, but there are supposed to be people who don't mind traffic noise. The beach and the historic old town can only be reached easily by car/taxi. The hotel rooms are of a decent size and have good beds, but unfortunately the carpet is no longer clean. The air conditioning is loud, but drowns out the traffic noise, at least until 2 a.m. The breakfast meets basic Turkish standards, the evening buffet is very decent, at least when it comes to starters, and the main courses are filling. We had to spend three days in this hotel during an organized tour and actually see no reason why holidaymakers should stay here voluntarily.

We booked it at the last minute as the original hotel didn’t have a working pool. The staff were fantastic and every single one helpful. The room was on the 6th floor and very spacious. Everything was spotless. The view of the port in the distance from the balcony. The tv has Netflix. The minibar was reasonably priced but we didn’t need anything as bottled water is left for you daily. The beds were very comfortable. We had a big double and a single. The air con was powerful. Breakfast was extremely good. There is Turkish tea, Nescafé and juice to drink. There is an inside pool, sauna, gym. Again, very clean. Towels available for pool. In the room they had slippers and a dressing gown. Great value for money. It is the staff that make this place though

A beautiful room on the eighth floor with a panoramic view, a soft bed with clean sheets and a sitting area with a terrace to relax. What more do you want? Price 56 euros with a sumptuous breakfast. Easy parking outside and city center 20 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by car. Ask for the top floor.

Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. It was excellent value, the deluxe rooms were very spacious, had a balcony and were very well appointed and clean. Breakfast, which was included, had a great choice. Staff were very pleasant and all in all it was an excellent stay. We would definitely go back. It was easy to reach the old town by car and there was a good supermarket opposite. My room had a view of the Port but we only wanted a base to stay in and not a beach hotel, so that wasn’t important to us. Much better value than budget hotels in the UK. Well worth a consideration.

The reason why I gave this hotel 5 points is because we are colleagues and the employees do their jobs in good faith. It is suitable in terms of price and balance, but there is a problem with the management and system here. The lady who heads the front office department has a very harsh approach towards her staff and guests. No prof. They are not visible. 300 TL charged for using an extra room for 50 minutes... Or rather, not wanting to be offended but being charged with a ridiculous excuse such as 'your room has been processed, we can't take it back'... these are very funny and unacceptable. My only thanks go to Ms. Yasemin for her constructive attitude, interest and concern during check-in and check-out. I wish him success.

We stayed 10 nights in this hotel, the check in process was easy and quick. We were given a welcome drink which we really needed after a mix up with our airport transfer (nothing to do with the hotel). Our suite was large and was a home from home. It has a washing machine, toasty machine and coffee machine to name a few things. The hotel has a indoor pool, sauna and gym and you can also book a great massage. The breakfast was great and changed some of its options each day so you don’t get bored. The staff in reception and at breakfast were very friendly and attentive. It has a supermarket next door which was very handy for water and snacks. It is also a short drive to the beaches or alternatively the hotel offers 3 daily complimentary shuttles rides. We also walked to the city wall association which took us around 20 mins. The only thing I think the hotel could improve on is having a denial masseuse. I would definitely stay here again.
