老闆和老闆娘人很實在，熱情好客，給我們提供了很多幫助，還很耐心講解去古城哪些地方玩，吃在哪裡，拿着地圖幫我們一一講解，我古城下游，相對虹橋鬧市區安靜很多，我們晚上走過去，那邊人太多，走都走不通，還很吵鬧，那裡還有通宵酒吧，還是這邊晚上住着安心一些。

民宿在古城區下游，比較寧靜。而且，的士可直達雲橋，在雲橋落車沿沱江邊步行不用1分鐘即到達，就算推行李喼，也很方便，(會有幾級樓梯)。老闆娘十分照顧住客，如有國內號碼，入宿前主動致電聯絡。
老闆娘提供民族服飾租賃，對可在古城內妝扮拍照的女士，提供方便。
民宿過橋後去到大街，有超市及日常居民的食店，不是只有湘菜館。買了高鐵接駁巴士聯票的，也可以於大街橋頭坐上循環線，到訪古城的東西兩邊。(因淡季打車比較困難)
想在江邊安靜住宿，絕對推薦。
惟對岸有一間清吧，到晚上11:30才停唱卡拉OK。

走累了，在老闆家門前休息，被他家的榻榻米吸引進去，順便看了看房間，就定下來了，老闆家的熱情，房間的乾淨，陽台的敞亮和民宿整體環境的優雅讓我們做了一次閃電訂房。

鳳凰雖然小，但是還是很有意思，就比如這家民宿，房間不多，但是佈置很精緻，衞生做得讓人放心。在房間躺着，風跳過門窗，吹拂在人的身上，抬眼能看到遠遠進進的山山水水，這種日子真的很愜意。很羨慕，本地人能住在這裏。
