We did return , as we promised, on our return from Florida to New Jersey. We even were able to get the same room, 323 which we liked for its decor and coziness. Unfortunately, the overall experience was a bit disappointing. When we checked in, Cody (?) at the front desk indicated that breakfast would include gluten-free options. It did not and we were told by kitchen staff that this is only possible when requested in advance. As we ate breakast; there was a management meeting of some kind adjacent to the dining area. The staff made a great deal of noise with their laughter and chatter, not at all conducive to a calm breakfast experience. And though the hotel has no control over what happens outside their walls; the easy walk to the beach was marred. A dozen motorcyclists were in a lot directly opposite the beach with deafening motors gunning and an incredibly loud radio blaring at top volume. So much for a serene ocean view. Might have been a rare situation, but makes me wonder if Amelia Island is plagued by intrusive cyclists. Whatever, it is quite unlikely we will do a return to this hotel or Amelia Island.
