Had a wonderful stay at Abington Manor. Brilliantly looked after by Prisca and her team- amazing breakfast. The lodge is immaculate with a lovely pool and garden and is perfectly situated for walking to the beach. Richard took us on two great day trips- firstly to Bloubergstrand and then to two vineyards. Thank you Richard for sharing your extensive local knowledge. We would definitely recommend Abington and we will be back next year! Many thanks

The staff were so accommodating and suggested great venues to visit for lunch and dinner. The breakfasts were amazing with a variety of choices. We had a sea facing room that was awesome with views over the harbor and the room was clean and air conditioned and ready on time. I would recommend this hotel 100%!

From booking, arrival to depart everybody was professional and friendly. The room was clean neat spacious with a beautiful view. The location is close to Muizenberg brach and restaurants. Kalkbay also not to far

We booked a ”Standard Twin Room with Courtyard View” and that was excellent value for money. Very friendly staff, clean room, very quiet at night and veeeeeery close to Boulders Beach and the penguins. An ideal location to go hiking at Cape Point . The only 2 negative points: the walls are very thin so you hear the neighbours talking (but once they sleep it's very quiet). And they start serving breakfast too late (only from 9:30 while we are used to have breakfast at 7am, especially when we do day hikes.)

Excellent hotel, very nice room, very nice place, very nice view. And most importantly, very nice manager: Simba. Trip.com made a mistake and allowed me to book a hotel room 22 minutes after the check in time closed, while I was on the phone, fighting with Trip.com support for a refund, Simba found out we were here from a neighbor. he rushed back to the hotel to check us in anyway. I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody 

The accommodation was ideal, and exactly as portrayed on the website, from the spacious bedroom with bay views, to the well appointed bathroom with it's glorious views while you're in the shower. Situated within walking distance of the beach, rail station, restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. Certainly ticked all our boxes. What a master bedroom, I'm going to be hard-replicate it in the future.

Location was everything! Beautiful hotel!

It's a lovely hotel with the most amazing views. On arrival we were offered a welcome drink and chose MCC. We were shown to our room and to be honest, I know you have to pay for a view, but we ended up with a room looking onto a wall. That wall at night was lit up so bright, we had to ask them to turn down the lights because we could not sleep. The ”curtains” were shutters and the shutters did not shut out the light from that wall. That was a little disappointing. We received a complimentary bottle of champagne as it was a milestone birthday that we had booked this weekend for. We had also asked for king feather pillows as those are our standard back home. We did get them and were grateful. They did help in getting us to sleep some of the first night. the second night, the hotel did manage to turn down the lights on the wall outside and it was easier to get to sleep. The staff were lovely and friendly, extremely helpful and made the stay very pleasant. My only other complaint was that the floor needed sweeping and didn't seem to get swept the entire time we stayed there. I kept having to dust off my feet before getting into bed. Otherwise, the food was excellent. We chose sushi the first night and it was spectacular. The second night we chose to go out for a meal instead of dining in. The breakfasts were spectacular and incredibly inviting. One could quite easily gorge onself on the brekkies alone, but I chose to hold back for the second day's brekky as we were going out for a celebratory lunch and I needed to save some space for the delectable meal we were heading for. You could easily have breakfast and not eat again until dinner. The choice is yours. The decor is elegant and comfortable with a certain class to it. All in all, a good experience, but if you really want to feel the 5-Star experience, you will have to pay for the view, the meals and the drinks.
