We stayed in Capo Taormina hotel for a couple of weeks. It is conveniently located with a nice view from each and every room. Outstanding service, particularly Grazia, who waited for us at the bar, both on the beach and the evening terrace one. She was always in good mood, very helpful, attentive, friendly and just nice. The whole stay was a pure pleasure and Grazia made it unforgettable. We shall surely come back.

We found this hotel via Jet2 and thought it sounded nice. The hotel was stunning and we loved it (we are quite fussy) The lobby area is modern, the pool is beautiful and the breakfast setting and food is excellent. The pool food was ok (our children age 8 and 9 loved it) and the setting again is beautiful. We often went across the road to the restaurant Valentino's and bought pizza to eat at the pool or in the hotel garden. The pool does get busy so get a sun bed early (we had enough space every day). The sea is stunning and very easily accessible. The beach is pebbly but if you get shoes it's fine. Further down the beach is a lovely restaurant for lunch called Valentina (owned by Valentino's daughter). The rooms are dated but clean and spacious, the beds were very comfy and one large room was big enough for a family of 4. The location is great the beach, restaurants, shops and the boats are easy to walk to. Taormina is only 25 mins on the bus and it costs 2 euro pp. we did a fantastic boat trip to see the caves with Poseidon from Giardini Naxos and visited Taormina and Castelmola. Would go back tomorrow! Giving it 5 stars because it has everything you need for a lovely Italian holiday. For context our flight was cancelled and we were moved to another hotel free of charge (inc all food and drink for our last night). We checked in looked around decided the Marriott was far nicer and returned immediately (at our own expense). It was worth it!

I’ve got to say we were delightfully surprised by this hotel. We booked this place as it was nearby to where we booked our wedding. Travelling with my now husband and our nearly 2 year old. From the minute of walking through the doors we saw how truly nice and special this place was. We just booked a standard room, we were located on the ground floor and the room was a lot bigger than we expected. It was nice and peaceful even being so close to reception in room 112. It was clean, comfortable, well air conditioned. Was just what we needed. We had breakfast included in our price which was continental but had scrambled eggs, bacon, range of cheeses and meats including ricotta. Cereals, pasties and cakes all of the above was of a great standard. You could eat inside or out. The staff in the dining room are even better, gianluca, Gianfrano the waiters and the manager fabrizio. And a lovely lady with short dark hair was amazing with our son, They really made us feel welcome and special, they couldn’t do enough for us. So professional and friendly. We also spent an evening in the restaurant which the food was fantastic. Again great service here too! The beautiful garden and surroundings of the hotel are so picturesque. Nice big pool area including a kids pool. We also spent some time down by the beach bar which was relaxing and I have to mention how lovely the ladies down at the reception area of the beach/shop. Giulia and Maria, so lovely, friendly and helpful. The lobby bar was brilliant Adriano made us feel right at home, so friendly, welcoming and looked after our son if we needed milk warming up, no matter what time of day. The shuttle service from this hotel is fantastic, you pre book your shuttle up and down from Taormina. It’s free too! We loved Salvatore! He made us smile, he was lovely, helpful and genuine. We miss him already!! I have to say, the staff here are a real main reason we would want to come stay again. We live in Sheffield in England but my new husband is originally from Catania, we normally would stay with family but after this trip I know we will be back. Don’t waste any more money staying anywhere else, this hotel offers everything you want and need. Thank you for having us Hotel Caparena! See you again one day I’m sure! We stayed at the hotel in August 2023, in a superior room with a sea view - unsurpassed! What I liked: 1. The location is good for our taste, because it is a little further from the noisy streets. It has its own rocky coast and access to the sea. Restaurants and souvenir shops are a 15-minute walk away. 2. The hotel is self-sufficient - there is everything for a relaxing holiday: a large swimming pool, umbrellas and deckchairs, a restaurant and bar, terraces for gatherings, access to the sea. 3. I recommend taking the Superior room with a sea view, because this room category has been updated and the balcony with a view is really impressive. Cleaned every day. There is air conditioning and a refrigerator. Good sound insulation. 4. Good breakfasts - scrambled eggs, sausages, cheese, ham, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee and a very tasty variety of pastries. We also had lunch there and ordered cocktails - very fun, friendly staff. The restaurant also has a wonderful view of the pool and the sea. 5. The territory is very nicely decorated, there are places to sit in silence. The interior of the hotel is traditionally decorated in the Sicilian style with interesting furniture and paintings. There is an elevator. 6. There is a swimming pool with sea water and different water levels, as well as showers. There is enough space for everyone. For those who can swim, there is also a great alternative to go down to the sea - there are steps from the rocks. You can walk 10 minutes to the sandy beach. There is a free zone (a bit dirty), there is a paid zone (30 euros for two people) and it is worth the money (convenience, cleanliness, nice beach, umbrellas and seats). What can be improved is to add more vegetables to breakfast. In general, I am very satisfied with this hotel and I am grateful to everyone who makes the vacation there so wonderful!

I have just returned from a lovely week here and I have to say that it exceeded my expectations. The staff are great, friendly and very helpful, quite a bit of English is spoken so it's fairly easy to get help with arranging things such as taxis, trains etc. It really helps when it comes to my general incompetence with the Italian language. My room was very clean and perfectly comfortable with air con which I imagine you will be very thankful of in the summer months! The pool area is also clean, tidy and well equipped with loungers and chairs, there's even a small bar where you can get what you need at a reasonable price. I chose to eat at the restaurant in the evenings and the food was excellent, a good selection and fairly priced in my opinion, portion sizes are also generous. There is a beach fairly nearby, say 1-2 km which you can walk to or there are bicycles available at the hotel if you are feeling confident, the roads are a bit ”exciting”, however this is not unusual in Sicily/Italy, there are always taxis and these are not expensive and probably safer. It is advantageous to have your own transport as it is a fair walk to the centre of Giarre and of course you will want to visit the many stunning sites on and around Etna itself, there is ample off-road parking at the hotel. In summary this is a fabulous place to use as a base to explore Etna and the many tourist hotspots up and down the coast, it's a very calm and relaxing place with a nice atmosphere, a good mix of nationalities and excellent food at a very reasonable price. It is the staff that made my stay so enjoyable, they are all lovely people and genuinely friendly, this to me makes a trip special and makes me want to return. The hotel presidential suite is basically the entire fake impeccable. The room has its own swimming pool, two bedrooms, high privacy and high level of service. The hotel spa is also worth a visit, just to relax after swimming. The hotel has a private beach. Upon check-in, a free island cruise is provided, and a shuttle service up and down the mountain is provided.
