The room is very modern, with a Chinese garden style, and the sunset on the beach is beautiful. I originally booked the Suger Beach Hotel a month in advance, but when I arrived at the hotel, I was told that there were no rooms. I was speechless. Then I was arranged to stay in a dirty, messy and small thatched cottage. Finally, I contacted Ctrip to help me change to Sofitel. I have to say that Ctrip's after-sales service is still good, but the Suger Hotel is really speechless. I will not go there next time 🙃

The hotel has its own beach and boathouse. Kayaks and paddle boards are my favorites. It's a pity that I don't have time to use the windsurfing board. Chasing dolphins🐬 can be booked at the hotel, and you can get on the boat directly on the beach, which is very convenient. I booked breakfast and dinner every day, and the theme of the dinner buffet changed every day. It was very comfortable to eat dinner while watching the sunset. The service is good and the gym facilities are complete. There is no bottled water in the room. There are many water filling points. It is environmentally friendly and convenient. Overall it's pretty good, it's very comfortable to lie on the beach, and the restaurant is also good. Non-buffet restaurants require reservations in advance, but the effect is very good. There are also many things to do in the houseboat, and snorkeling requires a reservation.

My wife and I stayed here in Sept to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. From arrival to departure, all of the hotel staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. On checking in, Krisha arranged for us to have an anniversary breakfast on the beach and we also found a bottle of fizz, chocolates and fruit in our room as a surprise. Thank you Krisha! Our room had a balcony with a sea view which was perfect for unwinding before dinner. Housekeeping was excellent - all staff were polite and friendly and our room was kept clean every day. We were on a half board basis and there was a great selection for breakfast and dinner each day. The staff in the restaurants were very attentive and were genuinely lovely people - thank you to Martika for looking after us so well! We have nothing negative to say about our stay here and would love to return sometime soon. Thank you all!

We went to Sofitel on the eve of our wedding for preparations there. The service we received was excellent and surpassed our expectations - service during our breakfasts + dinner was great. Upon entering our room, we were surprised to receive complementary sparkling wine, cake and fruits. On the day of our wedding itself, all of our family members + suppliers were directed to our respective rooms without any hassle / intervention from our part, making it a very easy pre-wedding preparation. Finally, on the day of our check-out, even though they had no availability, they were able to accommodate a check-out at 1pm instead of 11am. Very much recommended. Thanks again to the team!

Absolutely amazing hotel experience from start to finish- magical! The staff were friendly and very professional and attentive to all your needs. Close attention to detail was shown in everything. The food in particular was excellent in both taste, variety and presentation. The room was spacious, clean and luxurious with a beautiful balcony overlooking the gardens and beach. Birds come and go throughout the resort and are a joy to watch and listen. The beach was gorgeous; stunning views of the mountains and provided lots of daily walks. We witnessed some of the best sunsets daily too. The entertainment mostly consisted in good musicians but lacked variety. They could have had a few more actual shows. Also a disco for younger minded tourists. Great facilities and good close by options for excursions. Overall very satisfied and would book again.

Very good welcome and service at the reception The 'magnifique room' on first floor is very good.Simple and beautiful design. Very user-friendly. The balcony also was very clean. The service at the bars and the restaurants is very good. The food is so delicious. The bread is very good - not many hotels providing very good bread. The 'flamboyant' pool is very nice. The gardening is very good. ( at the back We will definitely stay at SI again. Cheers !

This hotel has lovely rooms, great bathrooms, it’s on the beach, with amazing gardens. Two good pools , Good food in the buffet restaurant , with themed meals each night, although there are always staples like great pasta. However what makes this hotel stand out is the staff! Nothing is too much trouble for them, always on hand to help, professional in their roles. Many have been there years, which speaks of continuity of service. I can’t wait to go back!

We've been here twice before, but we decided to celebrate our twins' birthdays here because of the excellent service and value. We had plenty of attention from the staff, and the food was plentiful and of decent quality. We wanted for nothing, as everything was organised . food, drinks, cake cutting, a place to sit in the luxury heated swimming pool, a place for children to swim, and making the birthday special, housekeeping lady (Marishel). I missed her name; she made my kids very happy with a surprise gift and chocolate for them, and they all loved her.

... after our first stay in May 2023, we couldn't resist visiting the island of Mauritius again in May 2024 and we repeatedly chose the Sofitel Imperial & Spa @ Flic en Flac on the west coast of the island as our preferred residence. Our 2 weeks-stay was a wonderful experience and the entire hotel staff deserves high praise for their constant efforts for the guests. The location of the hotel directly on the beach (long walks on the beach possible), the great big pool, the excellent cuisine (themed buffet every evening of excellent quality and variety) and especially the aforementioned employees in all service areas of the hotel once again delighted us. We thank you for the great 2 weeks, which we again used for day trips (with Mautourico excursions, taxi trips and a 4-day trip with a rental car) to the places worth seeing around the island. We have taken the island and the Mauritians to our hearts. Gaby & Peter ❤️

Nestled in a massive garden / park with beautiful flowers and bushes - water fountains and lakes - lawns and trees - just so stunning - this resort is just so beautiful and located right on the Flic en Flac Beach. I will suggest you book the Magnifique type of rooms overlooking the Indian Ocean! We have had the most wonderful vacation here! Good size rooms - bathroom with shower and bathtub, various of restaurants, brilliant food and choices with each evening a theme night at the main restaurant - at the beach restaurant live entertainment every evening ' nice bars at the resort - great Boat House - you can do all sorts of watersports here - the Flic en Flac town is just a stroll away walking on the lovely sandy beach - swimming snorkeling sailing - just paradise! A big thank you goes to Mr. Nawaz - from when we first arrived to when we said goodbye he looked after us 100%!! No wonder everyone loves him - he has worked here at L'Imperial for 32 years!!!
