Villa Cora is a grand hotel set in a beautiful neighbourhood on the outskirts of Florence. It’s not the easy walk as some have said but they do offer a complimentary shuttle service. The only thing is you need to call them to get back to the hotel. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. High ceilings and all imperial like. My one gripe though is the thinking behind their breakfast charges. Our accommodation did not have breakfast included so we had to pay 80 euros for two persons, every morning. They offer you a very extensive selection and you can order eggs, boiled, fried, poached or scrambled. But if you want an omelette which is exactly the same amount of egg as the scrambled portion you will have to pay 10 euros for that. Bizzar. I just feel that when you paying top money it should all be inclusive and not make you feel like you paying extra. It’s just a psychological thing.

When I came here on our first visit I thought I'd never stay in another hotel quite as luxurious as Villa Cora....... I was lucky enough to visit a second time! Nothing has changed, from the moment you walk into Villa Cora it takes your breath away, it's like going back in time to the beautiful manor and home it once was. We were lucky to have been given an upgrade with complimentary champagne on arrival and minibar throughout or stay. Our Junior Suite on the first floor had amazing views of Florence in the distance. Its location, away from the hustle and bustle of beautiful Florence is ideal - you're able to return after a long day to relax and unwind before heading back out again in the evening. A big thank you to all the staff who are all friendly, helpful and courteous and made our stay very special.

We spent one night in this charming and romantic hotel which resembles a luxurious guest house. Friendly welcome with valet parking service. Original check in around a table close to the receptionist and not in front of a counter. The porter was very smiling and courteous The lounges and the various restaurants are majestic The breakfast is varied and of excellent quality the dinner is gourmet the delicious wines Congratulations on the service at the restaurant 10/10 Shuttle transport to the city center of Florence irreproachable.
