Siamo stati per un weekend, punto forte dell hotel, la posizione a 300 MT dalla stazione e dieci minuti dal centro Camera semplice, non funzionava l aspirazione del bagno, i balconi non si chiudono bene. Pulizia ottima. Prezzo pernottamento senza colazione un po' alto per noi ma ne vale la pena. Personale cortese e gentile, abbiamo lasciato le valigie un paio d'ore custodite gratuitamente.

Abbiamo scelto questo hotel per la comodità. In piazza Santa Maria Novella a meno di 5 minuti dalla Stazione e meno di 10 dal duomo. Abbiamo trascorso una notte. La stanza e il bagno erano puliti. Potrei fare un appunto sulla mancanza di un armadio o comunque uno spazio più ampio dove riporre i vestiti per chi soggiorna più a lungo. Personale alla reception molto disponibile e cortese.

Mosquitoes lingering the room. Me and my daughter got mosquitoe bites . It’s winter but it’s so warm inside the room. No air conditioning. We cant control the heater

4 nights across new year, the location was great (5 min to train station) but the Santa Maria Novella place is quite noisy at night. Of course during new year's eve, but on regular week nights as well with loud music until late in the bar downstairs. Windows not well insulated against noise. In our room (maybe different with higher standard) there was not even a boiler. A small fridge is present though. Staff is very kind and helpful.
Just know the value you booked for, Florence is expensive !

Stayed 3 nights in March 2024, the only plus was location near to the train station. The Room was worn out, dark and dingy, Dirty bathroom, no water in the room. Lot of noise from cafes downstairs!!! Simply not worth it , stay somewhere else to enjoy your Florence experience

The Hotel Universo has 2 first class advantages and both are Location, Location! First, it's an easy stroll from the Florence Santa Maria Novella Station. We were traveling from Rome and loved how convenient it was to avoid ground transportation once we arrived in Florence. Second, the hotel entrance faces the lovely Santa Maria Novella square and church. We loved this location. Just stepping outside into the square brought you immediate access to charming outdoor cafes and boutiques. The hotel is only a 3-star property, with minimal amenities -- no room service for example. However, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. A real find in Florence!
