I used it as a place to stay during my trip to Florence. It's a little far from the center of Florence, but you can easily get there by tram. The room had a great atmosphere and was very clean. Also, the breakfast is wonderful. It seems that they have a restaurant attached, and they serve a wonderful breakfast there. This is a hotel I would like to visit again.

Great little hotel with great style and design. Magical location on the banks of the Arno, far from the crowds of tourists that invade the center of Florence, which is still just a few minutes away. Very kind staff, ready to fulfill every request. Excellent breakfast in a restaurant room with a refined and welcoming design.

A boutique and high-end folk hotel outside Florence, with first-class facilities, large and comfortable rooms, antique restaurant, unique wood-burning fireplace, and exquisite and fresh small garden in the morning. Everything was perfect. I stayed for 2 nights.

Pros: Nice looking hotel and welcome The room is nice and bathroom and toiletries The pool is the best thing about the hotel, we stayed at the pool during day times but did not eat dinner The Tram in to the centre is very nearby Cons: Location is far from the city and nothing around the hotel The hotel don’t serve anything for lunch not even sandwiches and it’s far from everything - we had to order a take away pizza, this really needs to be solved The air conditioning is not controlled by a remote it’s automatic The pool is small and very cold! There is no water readily available, you have to ask staff to fill bottles with cold filtered water all day The cleaners don’t clean until around 3pm Breakfast is very basic The bed is very hard

3.5 stars. Good only. Discreet hotel from the road. Quiet location. Nicely designed and consideration for the old and new. however showing some signs of aging and needs some reinvestment to decorations. Our linked room (A and B) had frosted windows only and no view felt very inward looking. The decorations needed redoing too. Sink ceramic glazing was crazing and generally needs a bit of love. Pool looks lovely but is cold (in August) so kids were turning blue. Quiet hotel. Tram close. Staff helpful. Parking close.

I am surprised that this hotel has got such rave reviews. It is beautifully situated but it is very overpriced. We imagined we would have a loft room but instead had more of a cave. Certainly not a room with a view. There is little attention to detail. I could provide a very comprehensive list as someone else did but just one example to serve supermarket white bread at a boutique hotel is really disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this at the price.

A great place to stay if you want to feel like a local! The location was about a 30 minute walk or an easy tram ride to the center of Florence. The staff was very welcoming and easy to communicate with during the entire planning process. They were also helpful with recommendations. They also upgraded me and my husband to a loft room, which had a convenient kitchenette, complete with a sink, small electric stovetop, microwave, and espresso machine. All in all, highly recommend. Sharing a detailed pro/con list below. Pros: - very quiet location removed from all the tourist traffic. slept so well. - stocked kitchenette with pots, pans, espresso machine, and more. - very comfortable bed and pillows - simple but fresh breakfast included with the stay - the dining/communal area is beautiful, complete with a fireplace - small but nice outdoor area with chairs by the pool - free bike rentals Cons: - 30 minute walk or a tram ride to get to city center. some areas can feel a bit sketchy - in our loft setup, the bathroom was located downstairs, which can be inconvenient for some people - closet/storage. there was a beautiful antique closet/chest which is large but dark. you have to find the light switch to turn on the light inside. we also couldn't find an iron or steamer, which would have been helpful to have. - the walls are very thin. when we first arrived, we didn't have any neighbors. on our last night, someone checked in and we could hear them going up and down the stairs.

I can’t rave enough about our stay here at Riva Lofts! My husband and I absolutely love Florence & have been several times, but Riva Lofts gave us a new experience that was intimate, immersive and experiential. Our superior loft was the perfect size for us two, and breakfast served at the restaurant every morning was a great way to start our day (special shout-out to Giovanna for always being so sweet!). We took part in a private cooking class with chef Michele and we learned how to make a 4-course meal, including two pastas (we bought a pasta machine online after, if that’s any indication as to how much we enjoyed it). We dined at the on-site restaurant helmed by chef Michele multiple times and it was an elevated, fine dining experience in a nice, casual environment (so you didn’t have to dress up to the nines). We also booked a wine tour through the hotel that included a private driver, who brought us to two historic towns and two wineries. Finally, the location is out of the city center, but in a good way! We felt more like locals (although everyone at the hotel spoke English, but we did try to speak Italian which seemed appreciated!). Other recommended restaurants were about a 20-25 min walk, however, a tram that took you to the city center was easy to use and a short walk away (getting you to the Florence train station within minutes). Overall, it was a peaceful, romantic retreat with activities sprinkled in, wonderful public spaces (both indoor and outdoor) and the staff at Riva who couldn’t have been nicer. You won’t regret staying here!

Great place just outside of the main crowded central area. Beautiful huge room. Exceptional breakfast and extraordinary restaurant. Lovely people. Tasteful in every detail. Beautiful garden with pool. A true oasis. Their bikes are the perfect way to get to town and get around. Will definitely be returning.

Very unique property as it used to be owned by an architect, our room used to be his office. Very relaxing property, very Italian vibe and offers much more than its size might suggest. On site dining and drinks, pool, bicycles and great staff. Located in a quiet part of Florence and not far from the tram. Our room was quite spacious, quiet and was more like a European apartment. Staff was exceptional and very helpful, especially getting taxis. The meals we had were great, best raviolis I've ever had!

Beautiful hotel, lovely grounds. Gorgeous design, the room was spectacular, the service was top notch. Is far out from Florence, so less ideal if you want to see Florence itself, and there's not much to eat at night. A small hotel and the number of kids was noticeable, especially if you wanted to use the pool. Maybe better for families looking for a quiet experience outside of Florence.

Equal parts casual and refined. The shared room is a treat to sit in the morning and their honest bar makes constant refills easy. We enjoyed the fall atmosphere and will be back. The bikes are extra useful. If you desire to be away from the tourists but still get the city experience, this is perfect for you.

I stayed at Riva Lofts for 5 days for the first time. I was a 5 star experience thought out. I have been coming to Florence for work for more than 20 years a couple of times a year. I always stayed in the centre but the crazy prices of the hotels made me look elsewhere. Riva Lofts was the answer: a chic establishment not so far out the city centre. An amazing accommodation overlooking the river, with a lounge a balcony a walk in wardrobe and a very big bathroom. The staff was amazing from arrival to check out. Always smiling, attentive and caring in particular Eleonora Abdul and Luca who served us at the bar and pool. Breakfast was simple but the quality of the food was top notch. one evening we dined at the in house restaurant and again they scored big time. We had the seppia linguine and the octopus and the ricotta strawberry dessert. Presentation and food were outstanding. I was there for work but it turned up to be an amazing stay worth of a holiday.
