Every once in a while in your travels you hit the spot. I am not talking high end luxury that most folk who love travelling really do not want. Well for Florence this is it. You have a beautiful bedroom and bathroom. A roof terrace that just makes you dreamy looking over Florence. The folk who run this place brief you day one on everything. Their local trattoria recommendations minutes walk away are amazing and not expensive. Any queries/bookings needed/taxis/things you forgot to pack/anything is a text away. 20 min walk to the River Arno/Uffizi. Really peaceful on the terrace. Bakery/wine shop/general store a couple minutes walk away. Book direct for best price as .Coms charge 18%. so you will save 15% if you go direct. This is not a B&B or hotel. Just lovely rooms. Honesty bar and snacks on tap. If you really ‘travel’ this is for you. If you ‘hotel’ in another soulless plastic room it probably is not. If you want to cut costs the Market Centrale is 13 mins walk away and you could eat a different meal each night for 7 nights. It is foodie heaven. All good value.

Charming place. Very quirky but so well styled and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely they went out of their way to provide yoghurt for me and wrapped my croissant to go! The roof top terrace was gorgeous. It was further away from the centre, where my friends stayed but it was v quiet so definitely worth that. I think as a lone traveller I probably should have stayed closer to the Duomo but I really enjoyed my stay. I would stay again anytime.

If you have found this place, look no further. Nothing was too much trouble for Alessia and Daniele. A restaurant we had booked before arrival cancelled on us. A WhatsApp to them was returned minutes later with 3 suggestions. All the restaurants they recommended were delicious - take their advice they have made the effort to try them. Sitting on the roof terrace for a fantastic breakfast or with a bottle of wine from the honesty bar with a view to the Duomo is hard to beat. A few suggestions - you need to book a time slot for the trip up the Duomo and or the Campanile before you arrive. Also the Uffizi and the Brancacci Chapel. Take some Euro coins to Santa Trinita Church to see the Ghirlandaio paintings - you need them to turn on the lights.

Потрясающие завтраки, что крайняя редкость! В теплое время года вы можете устроить его на крыше, полной цветов с потрясающим видом города. Nous vous déconseillons vivement d'aller dans cet hôtel mal gérer par les propriétaires. Voila ce qui s'est passé: Notre séjour étant du 9/06 au 11/06, nous avons dans l'essemble passé un bon séjour malgré une chaleur atroce dans la chambre a cause d'une climatisation défectueuse. La deuxième nuit la propriétaire nous change de chambre en disant que la clim est meilleur mais pareil ; une chaleur a crevé mais pas grave on es pas compliqué, la chambre est plus grande donc on ne fait pas de vague et on continue notre séjour. Nous voila au mois d'octobre et nous recevons 1 amende pour circulation dans zone a circulation limitée Donc le jour de notre arrivée, la propriétaire nous à dit qu'elle aller nous enregistrer auprès de la ville pour éviter qu'on se prenne une amende et cela a bien était fait. Nous avons garer la voiture dans une parking et ne l'avons pas utiliser pendant deux jours. Le jour du départ arrive et nous chargeons la voiture vers 10h. et nous avons reçu une amende car nous quittions l'hôtel et que nous ne pouvions pas circuler dans la ville étant donné que la propriétaire à oublié de nous enregistrer auprès de la ville. Alors aujourd'hui nous les avons appelé pour comprendre cette situation et il s'avère que ce sont des personnes mal honnête. Voici ce qu'ils nous ont répondu : C'est une faveur que nous accordons aux clients donc nous sommes pas obligé de les enregistré. En plus nous pouvons vous enregistré mais vous êtes autorisé à circuler que dans la rue de l'hôtel. Dans ce cas pourquoi proposé un hôtel dans un endroit ou ne pouvons circuler sans même nous prévenir de la démarche a suivre. sans compter qu'ils ont pas été respectueux et ont bloqué notre numéro pour ne plus avoir a faire a nous. Ils ont clairement pas eu envie d'assumer leur erreur. Aucun professionnalisme. Ils nous ont dit qu'ils nous ont prévenu mais ils n'ont jamais mentionné ceci. Bref, fuyez cet établissement mal honnête

We’ve stayed in many family run hotels over the years, and not many of them warrant a 5 star but Alessia and Daniel’s certainly does. Such a lovely couple, such a beautiful hotel and such hospitality that really made our stay. The breakfasts were out of this world, the honesty bar and snacks were a lovely touch and our hosts went out of their way to make us feel at home. I can’t recommend Antica Dimora Johlea enough; book your next holiday in Florence just to stay there! Thank you both so much ❤️

I cannot find the words to express how lucky we were to find B&B Antica Johlea. The hosts Alessia and Danielle are the best hosts ever and made us feel like in our own home for a few days. Everything is taken care of with to the minimum detail and they are always available to help in whatever you might need during your stay. They were waiting for us on our arrival, helped us booking taxis and made our stay a magnificent experience. The place The property is just a cute jewel. Located in a quiet but very central area (5-10 min walk to the cathedral), with many facilities and restaurants around. The room was great, beds super comfortable, great natural light and spacious bathroom. The terrace is just unbelievable with an amazing view (see photos). Breakfast was SUPERB, with lots of different options, and besides that there were always some cakes, fruits and drinks, available at any time. The small details If you have travelled a lot around, and stayed in many different places, you know the devil is in the details. Well, Alessia and Danielle realized it was my mom´s birthday during our stay and we found a little present for her when we arrived in the property after a long day walking around (see photos). If you are going to stay in Florence, well… this is your place! Grazie mile guys!

Overall we had a fantastic stay here. Around 20 min walk from the train station. Reception was on the 3rd floor which you can use a lift to access. We had a very welcome from Alessia who spend some quality time showing us the room, around the property (including the roof terrace) and spent some time giving some advice of places to eat and visit. The room was a good size with a 4 poster bed, traditional look and feel, which we liked. Good bathroom, again traditional look and feel. The room also had a coffee maker which was a nice touch. Room had all we needed albeit the safe was not working. Breakfast can be eaten inside or outside on the roof terrace. The views from up there are amazing and a fantastic place to have breakfast or just chill out. Breakfast was 11 out of 10, plenty of choice and all very tasty. Our host could not do enough for us and even booked a restaurant for us. There is also a Honesty bar if you fancy alcoholic drink, with soft drinks free. I would highly recommend this place, very relaxing, very quiet area, great breakfast and great chill out space. One of the best B&B's we have ever stayed at.
