Hotels Near Flying J Travel Center in Fontana

Feeling good, clean and comfortable, convenient to travel, and the surrounding environment is also very good.

My wife and I stayed here for a quick overnight. I try to stay at Marriott properties whenever possible and stay loyal to the brand, but I just don't get this place. The hallways are dark grey and give the claustrophobic appearance of walking through submarine.The bathroom tiles look dirty (yuck).The place just doesn't feel inviting or comforting, unlike most other Marriott's I have stayed at.The most annoying thing about the stay was a lack of attention to detail or just a lack of caring on the managements part. Best example: I woke pearly, and headed down to the lobby to find coffee.In the lobby I find two unlabeled coffee urns (which is which?). I ask the front desk which is which and they don't know. I choose one, fill up my paper cups and ask where the cream or milk is, because it is not in the fridge below the coffee urns ( see photo). I am told there is none, but the front desk is able to locate 2 mini creamers after some rooting around.I make the coffee's and look for lids, and there are none.I ask the front desk for lids and after rooting around, they find 2 that are the wrong size. They say sorry, that's all we got. Off I go to the room with my mystery coffee. This isn't a world-stopping problem, but it is an example of people that just don't pay attention to details, or just plain don't care. It's the little things and special details that make a stay memorable and enjoyable, and this property does not deliver.

My husband was flying out of cable airport to test for his pilot's license. We stayed close to the airport due to time constraints, living an hour+ away. We usually stay at the Marriot, Hilton, or something relatively close. We both decided that we should just pick a place that was a little less frilly for this trip because we were just there to sleep, and that was it. I will NEVER make that mistake again. Let me say this, NO hotel/motel should leave your feet black from filth. That is absolutely disgusting. We all took showers, and the walk from the shower to the beds left us with black feet. My husband was kneeling on the floor next to the bed, and when he stood up- BLACK KNEES. The beds are so freaking hard and uncomfortable. The room was humid and smelled. We found 2 roaches in our room. The person next to us smoked **** pretty consistently through the night, and the smell went straight into our room. I DON'T CARE IF ITS ”LEGAL”. My kids have severe allergies/asthma, and I don't want to smell that in a ”non smoking” facility. Save yourself the headache and spend the extra $70-$100 to stay elsewhere. We wish we would have. We will stay at our usual hotel next time.

It was a great stay the beds are comfortable the staff is very friendly and helpful the rooms are very spacious and clean it had everything we needed the suites came with top stove and they works so well we cooked full meals and I loved how we can borrow appliances like blenders waffle makers and more at the front desk we made sopes and empanadas I want to say the best part that i absolutely loved would have to be the soap the have the dove brand for hand soap lotion body wash conditioner and shampoo it was absolutely wonderful to feel like your actually at home

From the beginning of the stay to the end, we were in complete dissatisfaction with the way we were treated. We were encouraged by the great reviews on Google and on hotels.com of this location, but unfortunately do not believe what everyone says. Don’t be fooled! After we checked into our hotel we went to get food. After we got food and returned back to our hotel, we noticed that there were blood stains on our bed sheets and comforter, upon looking closely. We were obviously disgusted by this and did not want to use the bedding if it had blood in it, so we called the front desk at that time. The lady at the front desk said that she is very sorry and that she cannot have a maid replace the sheets because there were no maids at that time.Then I asked for a new set of sheets and bedding so that I could replace it myself. The lady said that she will send over the bed sheets as soon as possible. A guy who looks like a new hire by the name of “Colby, Colvy, or Toby” (one of those names, the hotel staff declined to confirm which one), arrived at our hotel room in about 10 or 15 minutes. With an attitude from when we opened our door to greet him, he gave us just the bare set of inner sheets. Upon receiving the sheets, I asked, “Could we get a comforter?”. He responded back saying, “you didn't ask for a comforter, I am giving you bed sheets.” I said back to him, “we need a comforter because the bloody bed sheets touched the comforter hence we would need all new bedding.” With extreme disrespect and rudeness, he said he will go get it. When he returned with the comforter in hand I had the old sheets that had blood on it, all wrapped up. Then he gives me the comforter. I asked him “what do you want me to do with the bloody bed sheets”, and he said “I don't know what you want me to do with it. It's not my job. You know, I am doing you a favor by bringing you these things right now, this isn't even my job, I work at the front desk.” Obviously I was very upset at this and I found this to be extremely unprofessional as the hotel had blood on the sheets, and they should do anything to fix it and to make sure that we are happy. Obviously in this case this employee did not care. When I replied back saying “that this is a problem that needs to be fixed and whoever's working at the hotel needs to be able to help me and not be rude to me, I was replied back with a statement that I would be kicked out for being too disrespectful. Along with this, this individual decided to curse at me and once he started cursing at me, with fear of safety because my girlfriend was also in the bedroom I closed the door and locked it. Despite me closing the door and locking it, this man continued to curse me out and it seems like he almost wanted to fight me saying “F*ck this and f*ck that, come on man, it's like that?!” Then I give a call to the front desk and the same lady answers again, I explain the whole situation and she apologizes. This is a beautiful hotel! It’s a historic property and very well maintained. Also property has lots to offer. It’s a museum in itself and has a few restaurant options, a lounge with live music, pool had a DJ when we were there. It was a perfect weekend getaway! Highly recommend this property.

First impression was not good. There was someone smoking pot in the parking lot when we pulled in and the hotel has this funky smell to it. Also, the hotel is located in the middle of an industrial area w/ the highway right across. So it seems very desolate and uninviting at first. But when you get your room, it's pretty nice. We had a 2 bed room and the beds sheets/pillows were clean and there was enough room for both of us. I was expecting a dungy bathroom but it was nice as well. Good room for the shower and sink/toilet. Also very clean. Yes, there is some funky smells in the rooms that others have pointed out. I'm not sure where it comes from but you smell it and I guess we get use to it. It's not overbearing but a bit of an annoyance. Maybe it comes from the Air Conditioner. But best thing was proximity to the university. You don't need to take the highway from here to get to the university. Side streets and you'll be there in about 10 min time. Price was cheapest in the entire area of hotels. Booked thru Costco Travel. For a 1-3 day visit the hotel will suit your needs.

Breakfast was ok, the room was clean and hygienic, the room was large, and there was a microwave and refrigerator in the room, which was more convenient. The surrounding environment is a little bit less, the restaurants are 1 km away, but it is one of the better hotels in this area.

The kitchen that was the main reason I book this hotel, and she didn’t disappoint. I had everything I needed ! I loved the complimentary dinner and breakfast offered (dinner mon-wed I believe) also the laundry room. The parking was awful haha but no complaints here luckily everything else outshined that also the front desk woman was very sweet and made me feel comfortable I wish I could remember her name but I know her last name was 3 letters long :
