Check in was super quick. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. This was the second time staying here and I would definitely come back.

Our party of 13 had 4 rooms for the night on our way to the beach. The front desk crew was beyond rude and seemed annoyed with any request, such as extra towels. The one toilet had mold in it and the baby’s feet were black when walking on the carpet.

The hotel was busy and I had to wait a bit before checking in for them to get all rooms cleaned. No worries! I came back and check in went great, very friendly. The room was only ok, it wasn't thoroughly cleaned, paint was scuffed and peeling in the bathroom, and there were no towels. Nothing to make me leave, but not well kept and it showed.

Had a quick overnight here and everything was great. Close to colleges and shopping and restaurants, staff was friendly, gym was well-equipped. We felt safe and were comfortable

I arrived at the La Quinta in Lynchburg about 5 or 6 PM on Sunday June 9th. I had made a reservation for a King, non-smoking via *******. When I arrived I was told there were no Kings available. WHen I asked why I was told it was "first come, first served". I suggested that was not how reservations worked but the desk person made no attempt to rectify the problem. She gave me a queen room which, upon inspection, showed that the toilet had not been cleaned. The agent gave me another room which, although it was not a King at least did not have a dirty toilet. Other than the problem mentioned, the hotel was conveniently located and had a nice breakfast.

We arrived at 4am and waited for over 20 minutes to be checked in as there was no staff working the front desk. There was also another gentleman trying to check out who had waited even longer. Apparently this was due to understaffing as the front desk worker had to work two jobs and sit in the back doing laundry all night. But you don’t even have a bell to ring or number to call to get service?! Upon getting to our room and trying to finally get some sleep, we were greeted with a smoke detector with a low battery that beeped every 10 seconds ALL night long. Somehow, our two kids managed to fall asleep anyway due to sheer exhaustion. That is…until housekeeping came pounding on our door at 9am to ask us to tell them when we were leaving. We’ve only been in the room for a few hours and your already trying to kick us out, 2 hours before checkout time?!?! Needless to say once they had woke up both kids with their incessant pounding, there was no hope to get them back to sleep. Hotels are booked for the primary purpose of getting sleep. We got almost NO sleep last night due to a series of management failures at this property.
