The Dalmar, Fort Lauderdale, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay here, all the staff are fantastic and the place are so nice. My favorite spot there is the roses coffee shop, the barista there who named leika is the best barita she is so friendly and nice. Over all i will recommend this place!

By far this is the most aesthetically pleasing hotel I’ve had the privilege of staying at. Every aspect of this hotel was very pristine. The location is in a prime area with lots of local attractions nearby, especially if you like to bike around- one of many amenities offered by the hotel. My stay and experience were smooth sailing from my arrival to my departure. Everyone I encountered- from the bellman to the front desk- had an inviting smile on their faces, were approachable, very accommodating and had a willingness to assist. Stephanie The Front Desk Supervisor made the most impact on me during my stay. Love you gurlll!!! You were so easy to talk to, extremely helpful and even went as far as recommending a fun activity at the hotel for my bestie and I to attend once we returned from exploring the city. It was a mixology class at Sparrow. It was an intimate class of 4- my bestie and I as well as a lovely couple Jordan and Kacey. Pete, our mixologist for the evening was very interactive. Lastly, Janice at the lobby bar also made a positive impression both mornings at breakfast. It was while at breakfast on our last day sitting not too far from an elderly couple when I overheard the elderly lady telling her husband she had to step away to thank the girl at the front desk for her kindness and how helpful she has been during their stay. It just so happens, I too happen to work for a Marriott property hotel in Minneapolis, so it was refreshing to know as well see the Marriott standard of care during my stay. I even went as far as noticing how certain things were done and brought that idea back to my property to see how we can adapt it into our property to help elevate our guest’s experience. This was our first-time visiting Fort Lauderdale and first visit to The Dalmar. Needless to say, it won’t be my last. I look forward to my next visit. Thank you all!!

I was met by Lovely who was very patient checking me in, she welcomed me wiyh a great smile and she assigned me to a nice room and walked me through the hi-tech systems at the Dalmar. Great hotel, the decoration is pretty nice great service and great staff. I will definitely be back here Great stuff

Had an amazing staff from a very warm greeting from Stephanie Kent who was very bubbly and very nice. Pete from sparrow made amazing drinks and staff was very friendly. The hotel was very clean and convenient location with beautiful views. Definitely look forward to going back.

In the end I sent a long email to the GM about how bad our stay was and it is great that he responded but pretty much acknowledged the issues and claims to be working towards fixing them. At this level and price point if you can’t give basic customer service and have the first representative of the hotel that you meet make the best impression possible, there is really no coming back. From check in we knew that this was going to be far from a luxurious and relaxing stay. We booked two rooms at the same rate at the same time for our two parties. I have the higher Marriott status and the other party gets an upgrade. That is what it is but we couldn’t even get on the same floor like we requested. On top of that there are items supposedly included in both the fee and my Bonvoy status and many were just missed. Part of the resort fee is a food and beverage credit that you get daily and it was barely explained to us and when it was it wasn’t correct. The system that allows you to charge items to the room is down so you have to pay with credit card and show the receipt to get it credited from your bill. Even that I had to work to even get corrected because every front desk agent wasn’t made aware of the issue. How do you have a policy that not everyone knows about? Then there are the elevators. They take forever and are super confusing. You would normally need to use your key to access floors but from our floor to the top level we NEVER needed our key. What kind of security system is this? We wanted to try and do a quick load of laundry ourselves since they advertise self-service. No one could correctly tell us where the laundry even was and after a total wild goose chase around the hotel we finally find the 1 washer and 1 dryer for the entire hotel. I have never stayed at a hotel with a more clueless and careless staff. Other than the front desk folks who couldn’t figure out how to correctly answer a phone there was the employee who thought that yelling at guests waiting for the elevator and blocking the walkway was the right way to say excuse me. In the end, we had a bed to stay in but won’t be returning again.

The Dalmar is awesome! The staff is very hospitable, the common areas and rooms are clean and well maintained along with a great location within walking distance to great restaurants. It's overall a very nice hotel and plan on staying there every time my travels take me to Ft. Lauderdale. Highly recommended!

I am a long time Marriott client. My experience at the Delmar was incomparable. This is my new spot. The room was spectacular, comfortable, spacious. The service from the front desk Asia and Asja were perfection, anticipating my every need and going above and beyond. The gentleman that came to make the bed for the pull out couch did it with such attention to detail. He cared truly. The place was packed but everyone made you feel so special along the way. The pool was amazing and temp of water was refreshingly warm. It overlooking the city which made it entertaining. We got free gelato at 4pm and the food at the pool bar was yummy considering it was at the pool...could not believe it. I ended up getting the pool cabana which was so worth it. I can't wait to go back.

Was only here for one night sadly but will definitely be back. The hotel is such a vibe, Stacy at the front desk was absolutely amazing. We didn’t have a reservation for The Sparrow but still was able to get drinks at the rooftop bar very friendly staff. We also went to the pool and Sherice was lovely. Love the atmosphere and staff at this hotel.

Had a great experience here! I was helped by Asia and Stacy and they were nothing but amazing!!!! I’ll definitely be back soon ! They bring this energy that you just know you’re going to want to come here time and time again. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
