The entire experience was great. Although we would have preferred a King Bed room, and a room not next to the gym all in all everything was great. Sunday Morning our checkout day, we were woken up to a Fire Alarm that was going off for about 25 mins. Our room phone handset was not working so it was quite difficult to call for help, or answer when it was ringing, but then I heard a knock at the door. Nelly Pierre-Philippe came to our rescue. Her and another employee came to disarm the fire alarm and they ultimately had to have maintenance come and replace the entire unit. We did not realize we had such a late flight that evening and Nelly was able to get us a later checkout which solved many of our last day travels. She really put a bow on what was a magnificent trip. I know it doesn’t seem like much, but I’ve traveled a lot you would think this type of service is common within the hospitality industry, but it is not! She solved multiple issues for us that i’m not sure where apart of her direct job duties, but because of that… We will definitely be staying at the W Fort Lauderdale again Thanks to Nelly!
