Being 2024, internet connection was limited, with less than adequate signal strength, and reliability! This was a leisure trip, but if it were business, receiving and transmitting data via cell phone or laptop would have been unacceptable! Being listed as a “deluxe suite” was questionable..

Checked in after driving 12 hours. They put us in a unit that had no usable balcony. The only one that I can see like it in the whole complex. Signs everywhere saying keep off. When you step out onto the balcony there is a cement wall facing you. No daylight. An he seen. Asked to please find us any other unit available and they said they don’t do upgrades? I wouldn’t consider this an upgrade but rather a safe unit with outdoor space. Sad….very sad!!!

I was supposed to have a non-smoking room but it was not. My room had used hairpins on the floor, cigarette burns on the toilet and the sink. The wall hairdryer was broken. My clothes stunk of stale cigarettes and I had to wear these clothes on my cruise the next day. I will never, ever stay again.

Dont stay here. The pics & reviews are why we stayed here. What an overpriced dump. Room was dirty & smelled of mold. Lobby was always locked. Pool was dirty. Shower curtain wouldnt stay in place. Door lock was broken/missing.

We have owned several timeshare units at the Ft. Lauderdale Beach Resort for many years. We always go for at least 2 weeks in January. On our most recent trip in 2024, the hot tub and upper deck were finally repaired and operational, and some of the equipment in the fitness center was brand new. The resort is always clean, as are the individual units. The housekeeping staff are excellent and go above and beyond, providing extra toiletries and such on the days they come. I have never understood the low reviews that some people give of this resort, always thinking they must be comparing it to the Four Seasons or something. It's not the ritz, but very comfortable within walking distance of stores and restaurants. It's true that the furniture is somewhat dated, but so what? As long as the unit is clean--and it's always spotless when we arrive--who cares? Yes, the bathrooms are small and tubs need to be replaced, but they try to update units little by little. I guess some people are just really, really picky.

the rooms smelled of must and smoke. there were loud people all around the hotel and odd people following close to our room. Rooms had hair in the shower. Smell was awful, beds were cheap and loud, extremely springy and uncomfortable

There wasn’t a safety lock inside like every other door in a hotel room would have u can tell it was broken also the bathroom door I felt like I was staying in one those hotel rooms where you being watch by a camera we. Didn’t feel safe at all but we was in town for a family death check out is 11am at 10:45am as I get dress lady bang on door to see if we leaving where any other hotel they do that around 11:15-11:30 if they haven’t heard from you I we’ll not book here agai
