The property is in need of a renovation, especially for the price they charged. Service is, at best, average, and the beds are super soft and uncomfortable.

Booked a stay here off of how beautiful the photos looked on the website and off of other peoples reviews. Went with high expectations, however was not as impressed as anticipated. Our ocean front suite was beautiful, spacious and matched the photos online. Due to rain we couldn't enjoy the beach and the pools were much smaller than expected. Maybe we just caught them on an off day or were short on staff.

Comfortable room. Was disappointed no robe or hairdryer but otherwise all was good. Food was good. Ate dinner at the bar and had breakfast. Both tasty. Two gripes about the nickel and dime-ing mentality: server said Wine Wednesday, half off a glass (or something like that) so I got the wine. Then when she gave the bill said ‘oh, it turns out it was a different wine.’ Seriously? Then at breakfast I asked for a second teabag because the tea was kinda weak. Charged me $10 for two teas. Seriously? Didn’t get to enjoy the pool because it closes at dusk, apparently. But view was great, bed was comfortable.

Ocean 2000 restaurant. Our server Ashley was so kind, excellent service and even did something special for my sister’s birthday. Food is always great and ocean view amazing. We enjoyed our Sunday brunch. We are looking forward to coming back.

Fabulous property and inclusive resort. Feels like you are staying on an island yet easy travel to Ft. Lauderdale. Everything you need for a perfect vacation. Love that you are a bit removed from the main ***** but convenient enough if you want to access.

We had a wonderful stay at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort over a long weekend. We were in town for a local event, so didn't get to spend as much time at the beach as we would have liked, but did get to enjoy the pool and lazy river, which were very clean and inviting. Staff member, Rick, could not have been nicer, he made you feel like you were a part of the family. He wouldn't let me put my towel down on my chair because he said I was on vaca and he could do all the work. Very sweet! Other hotel staff we encountered were also friendly, and their text service for the valet was very helpful. Our suite was beautiful, we loved the balcony view and the living room we could relax in. The beds were very comfortable, too. Our one major issue was the shower, the water was scaulding hot no matter how you adjusted the temperature, on our 2nd day the handle broke off and we had to shove it back on to adjust the nozel. Even then, we only had hot water. We texted staff about this, but never heard back from them, so we alerted the front desk at checkout. This was our only negative during out stay. We had a lovely breakfast on the terrace and really appreciated the infused water at the front desk. The hotel is in a great location as well, on the beach and close to many great restaurants and shops. We are looking forward to returning to the Pelican Grand the next time we're in Fort Lauderdale.

We enjoyed our time at the Pelican Grand this past weekend!! We were there for the Air and Sea Show and another special event in my life as well. The room was incredible!! All the staff was great especially Brian, Desya and Dejoun!! One thing we would want to see improve would be room service they need a little help in this area. But our overall experience was INCREDIBLE!!!! Once in a lifetime

Overall a huge disappoin**ent! Dated worn room conditions. The linens (towels sheets and blanket were torn and worn out ! Management promised a room comp and after a lengthy review and conversation we did not get charges dropped as promised. This reflects on the overall integrity of management. The pool was unavailable due to a lengthy wait list. Honestly the overall quality was poor, overpriced and dated.
