My husband and I stayed here for three nights before a cruise, and we chose this location to stay in for its proximity to Las Olas/downtown shops and activities. Being slightly away from the waterfront of the canals means it is quieter (but you can still hear trains) than the hotels within the action, but it is also a bit of a walk to the Riverwalk; this was not a problem for us but may be for others. Most upsetting is the number of homeless people encamped at the nearby train station, as one worries for the lack of care these people are getting. Many may find this off-putting for their stay, but guests can choose other routes to the pretty river, and there are several excellent restaurants nearby that do not pass the camps. The hotel, itself, is modern and quite clean, and most of the amenities one would desire in a hotel room are there, except for a safe for valuables. Our bathroom was spacious and had a great shower while the main room was on the smaller side but was comfortable. A free breakfast was provided daily, and it was similar to what other hotels may serve in a buffet-style breakfast. We did not try the pool bar (which does serve some food) simply because it does not open for many hours of the day, and we’d had plans keeping us busy between 5:00 and 9:00pm. Overall, we were pleased with our stay, and we were more pleased to be provided an excellent cruise port shuttle option by the hotel staff.
