Prices start at £4 or £5 per night... This is an old castle hotel on the west side of the Scottish Highlands. From a common area point of view everything is well done and impeccable. But from the point of view of the rooms...the price/performance ratio is obviously super low. The facilities are outdated, so I asked for a humidifier... A hair dryer that was produced 20 years ago came, which was completely unacceptable and had no humidifying effect at all. The shower room has very strict requirements on the size of the guests, and I personally feel that the water pressure can be further improved and improved. The laudable point is that the shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap in the bathroom...all have two ball royal certifications, and the quality is also carried. The cold and hot water device of the washbasin is a traditional separate type, which is the kind of water that you either use cold water or hot water, and it cannot be warm water anyway. The sofa in the guest room is made of fabric. The disadvantage is that you can't see whether it has lice or whether it is clean. Anyway, it is so old that people don't want to sit on it at all. The carpet is lint-free, which means it's "aged". Well, let's talk about the public area: the restaurant's production is still quite standard, with Michelin standards, whether it's dinner or breakfast... It's pretty good, but the quality of the coffee is not good. The service staff are warm, courteous, serious and smiling. There are several casual living rooms and even dining rooms in the indoor public area, all of which are luxurious, comfortable, freehand, and comfortable, and there is nothing to fault. There are a large number of areas in the outdoor woods and paths that need to be improved, such as greening projects. One last thing to add: parking is free. After all, the owner, Mr. Chai, is a Chinese from Southeast Asia. The land of the ancient castle covers an area of 5,000 acres... If parking charges are required... it would be too stingy. In general...you can say that it is an ancient European style, but I personally think that the ancient European style does not necessarily need to update or refresh the facilities and furniture. Especially with such a large area, if the greening is not done well... it really responds to the old saying "gold and jade are outside, and there is nothing in it".

A very pleasant surprise. The hotel is located just outside of Fort William (thankfully). A picturesque estate. We stayed in a coach house room, which was nicely appointed with parking right outside the door. Modern heritage style. Fantastic view of Ben Nevis. Dinner in the main house was wonderful. As you would expect from Mr Roux junior at £145, it should be excellent and did not disappoint. Cocktail on arrival, pianist in the hall and great food. We could not fault the place, apart from the soulless pub on the grounds. I totally recommend Inverlochy Castle Hotel.

My wife and have spent two weeks in Scotland at the Kimpson , New Hall Mains Inverlochy Castle and Glen Eagle . All four locations offered amazing locations . Inverlochy Castle and grounds were first class . Inverlochy was a bust from checking in with staff very disorganized and not prepared . We found then poorly trained and witnessed a scolding outside the billiard room of the staff from a guest complaint . It was very disappointing. The meal in the main dining room was barely edible but the meal and service at Factors Inn was limited but was great . Sorry for bad review ! They could take an amazing property and match the service expected for a Luxury Property

Myself and a friend were on our motorbikes when I had a breakdown just outside the hotel on a rainy morning. We took refuge in the hotel while sorting out breakdown assistance and they provided much needed coffee. A special mention to Chantelle who welcomed in 2 soggy bedraggled bikers and took good care of us. Highly recommend for coffee.

This castle was so impressive! From the entry lounge to the staircase to the biggest suites I have ever stayed in. The registration desk was very welcoming. We enjoyed a short walk to the Factor Pub for dinner which was perfect. Beautiful place:)

We stayed here for (2) nights in a suite which was spacious, gorgeous and beautifully appointed. We didn’t leave the hotel so had all meals at the property. From delicious salmon and eggs for breakfast to a gourmet sausage roll for lunch and then a beautifully presented, perfectly delivered evening meal in two different dining rooms. We really enjoyed the privacy of Inverlochy, the discreet and professionalism of all the staff. It’s a lovely property to have a getaway to and the sun shone and we had stunning views of Ben Nevis out of our window. I mean, who could ask for anything more.

The afternoon tea is highly recommended- it was delicious. Caran was a fantastic host and we had a lovely afternoon in this stunning place. We sat on beautiful couches and had the most tasty tea, scones, sandwiches and -my favourite - the lemon meringue!

We entered this hotel/castle experience expecting it to be the highlight of our trip. It was a gorgeous hotel experience for sure! The views are amazing. However, it did not meet our expectation! We purchased the 5-course meal which was a fun experience, but for the cost (£145/person+drinks on top) versus the benefit we did not think it was worth it. If you do not love thinks like chicken liver or munk fish then spend your money at their Pub instead! The room was clean and large but the faucets in the bathroom were loose which I would not expect given the category of stay this is. We also would expect that the windows would be dusted for spider webs, but they had massive webs in them (outside the window, but window open to keep room cool). Overall, for the price/experience, we recommend finding another castle to stay at.

My husband occasionally surprises me and he certainly done well this time. We stayed two nights for a small break and left feeling so relaxed and refreshed. The building is outstanding and so refreshing to see decor kept in style with the period and you can just feel the investment that has been spent and how well looked after the property is. Our room overlooked the loch and what a view to wakeup to, even considering the lovely Scottish weather, almost mystical. All the staff were so friendly and helpful especially William the sommelier and the wonderful lady who checked us in! We dined at their casual option, The Factors Inn. We loved sitting in the pub and enjoying a relaxing meal that you can even enjoy a top up on!! And breakfast....oh my! Thank you to all.
