Hilton Fort Worth

My daughter and I were traveling for a gymnastics competition. We were pleased with the location's proximity to the Fort Worth Convention Center and dining options. The room and hotel were pretty clean overall. However, these are the weird things that ruined our stay: - The bathroom door knob was missing. I know it sounds weird, but there was no knob--just a big hole in the door where one should be. - The heat in our room did not work. We were cold and had it set to 80, but it only blew cold air. - Upon arrival at breakfast (included with our specific booking) no one acknowledged us or greeted us. We waited for a while and then I tracked down a worker putting out food to ask if we seat ourselves or if someone seats us. She did not reply to me (language barrier), but got someone to tell us we could just seat ourselves. It was confusing and unwelcoming. I witnessed other patrons enter after me and share the same confusion and have to ask as well. A simple greeting, welcome, or explanation could go a LONG way. I am not typically a complainer, so the issues above would've normally been mentioned at checkout for resolution before the next time they put someone in the room. It wasn't worth the hassle of moving to a different room. - (This was the biggie.) We had a family enter our room because they were given keys and assigned OUR room at check in. We had not checked out, and now our keys would no longer work. The family returned to the desk and were assigned a different room. When I asked about this mix up at the desk, they told me they "didn't know how that had happened" like I was somehow making it up. They reprogrammed our key cards and assured us that no one else would bother us during the remainder of our stay. - They charged me for one night of parking instead of two, and charged me for breakfast although it was included with my booking. These charges were resolved and an apology was extended for the inconveniences of the stay. I would not stay at this hotel again, and will choose differently when traveling there next year. It was a hassle and a disappointment.

The service was great!! Although the bedsheets looked a little dirty, the room was very nice. The temperature in the room wouldn’t go below 70 degrees. The shower was absolutely amazing, the room was clean and on the 11th floor.

Restaurant was good for breakfast, reception staff was friendly but my t v news network (Fox News) was not available

The hotel was very nice in the lobby. Once we got to our room it was outdated and the beds were uncomfortable. Also parking we had to walk 2 blocks and pay or pay to valet.

Awful. We were in Texas for a while. We thought it would be interesting and a Hilton. But no good. Terrible service, rude staff, and I would never stay there again. They overcharged and tried to kick us out of our room when we asked to extend our stay. It looks good on paper but it is not good. Plus it’s not safe as they don’t monitor the lobby and there are no safety measures for the elevator access.. They do not offer what hotels should- safety, honesty or decency.

Property was clean and close to the convention center and the valet parking attendants were very helpful and flexible!

Booked here specifically because it was the last place JFK stayed. The hotel has lots of history from that fateful day. Bed was clean and comfortable, bathroom was clean. I always do an inspection and wipe stuff down and was impressed. Staff was excellent. The breakfast buffet was great for the price. Will stay again when in town.

The valet service is excellent. The check in staff are very nice. The location was perfect. This is an older hotel so you expect some things to look worn however I did not expect the room to be so run down. The toilet was stained and yellow looking. There were rust stains running down the shower wall into the tub from the handrail. The sink was cracked. The extraction fan in the bathroom didn't work. Pull back the sheets and you'll see how dirty the underlying covers are. Room service, while fast, wasn't delivered on a tray as is the standard, it was delivered in two brown paper bags with our tea in to go cups. All in all, not impressed and will not stay there again.
