The Lodge on Harrison Lake

The "suite" was a mini studio; there were a few hooks but no closet & very limited drawer or floor space; one of 2 pillowcases was stained with fresh makeup & we found a used Q-tip; no instructions for tv or fireplace and we were never able to use; blackout blinds were useless light mesh; we had a view of the lake; the fact of no assistance on property was unacceptable, especially since our only contact knew we had no cell service in Canada; decided to leave after 1 night & don't expect $559 USD for 2 nights we didn't use; we paid for 3 nights 8-23 with a 60-day cancellation policy (ending 7-22-24) of no refund.

Context: Cabin #1, healthy couple in early 60s. Pros: well outfitted kitchen, decent appliances, comfortable beds, reasonably clean, nice fixtures and window coverings. Cons: trekking luggage a ways down uneven rock stairs, beds against walls - only way for 1 person to get out is crawl over the other person, soulless stark ambience/art work, counter lights blink on and off in strobe-like fashion, zero bathroom storage, badly positioned TV (sink tap in the way), limited and uncomfortable seating, no wood provided for well-placed fire pit, very dirty windows impacted the view, numerous poorly thought out design features. While in a way we loved the complete absence of the owner and apart from shooting us the door code and tiny resort map on arrival day did not hear from him. On the other hand it was somewhat worse than the solo badly-timed visit from your restaurant server checking if you need anything. In spite of the incredible views we won’t be back.

Breathtaking views of the lake, this was the perfect stay at the end of our 6 weeks travel around Canada. We had a suite overlooking the lake and our room was spacious and clean with everything we needed. I loved the sauna and the peacefulness of the area. There’s an outdoor fire pit and a path to the little beach. Great Indian restaurant in town just a 5 minute drive away.

We were married here last week and had such an incredible stay! The grounds are unbelievably gorgeous and the backdrop of the lake and mountains is stunning! We had guests staying in the carriage house, main residence and several guest suites and each accommodation was perfect - very clean, spacious, well equipped and beautiful views throughout. We even had the chance to meet the owner’s mother and she is one of the sweetest souls we have ever met. If you are considering a vacation or booking a wedding at The Lodge do not hesitate - it will surpass all expectations! Kristen & Lawrence

Beautiful stunning calming relaxing quiet getaway! The Main Residence was perfect for our group and the easy access to the firepit bbq area and water made it even better! The only problem was the overwhelming amount of bees swarming around everywhere on the property. Made it nerve racking to sit outside on decks to enjoy the view so we enjoyed it from the inside other than attending a wedding ceremony outside where everyone was swarmed we had to relocate and have the cake and champange and dinner inside which was a shame. However thats nature...loved everything about this amazing place💗

Very nice place with great and quiet view on Harrison Lake. Balcony with two seats. Remote checkin without seeing any staff. Why not 5 stars? 7.5% extra charge for room cleaning per night by no housekeeping during out 2 night stay. Intolerable for high comfort and price location.

The room was nice. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the shower was great. The base around the bed extends out so you whack your knees and ankles! The view would likely have been spectacular but the smoke from the fires obscured it. Overall quite nice.

Modern apartments close to European style without any frill. Our studio #3 had a small kitchen, but no stove; you therefore have to get warm dishes outside in a restaurant. Unfortunately you have to take the car for those 1700m to the restaurants as there is no side walk between the lodge and restaurants. Road in the back of the building quite noisy during nights (in our case illegal races with sports cars during two nights)
