Hotel Angela - Adults Recommended

Very nice views and respectful staff. You must pay for a mini fridge though :,(

We didnt stay at the Angela but went a few times at night because of the happy hour and music. Some of the music was good and one was excellent. I believe they are called Il Sono. Was not expecting to enjoy it as they are operatic but they were truly amazing. I hope the Angela brings them back. Bar staff are friendly and helpful and receptionist also happy to help with wifi code. It would be good if the bar was open till 11:30 and music too as sometimes they finished earlier than 11.

This hotel is definitely overrated. Starting with horrible service at reception. We booked a week in this hotel and paid extra for a superior room with a sea view. Before arrival, we emailed the hotel asking for a double bed as we are a couple and obviously dont need a twin room. We both work at front office for years and therefore know how this works. We got a response that it was based on availability , which is true but when a request comes in earlier, you note it down for a guest. When we arrived we got a horrible standard room with twin beds. The linen looked and felt cheaper than 2 euros. The bed was broken and was not fixed till I had to go to reception for the 4 th time. All the furniture in the room is cheap. rooms look nothing like the pictures btw. Also, there are barely any amenities, just towels, shower gel, and soap. The shower was horrible aswell, the water always came out since the drain was probably clogged. Breakfast and food facilities in general were good. A lot of options and the staff there was good. The happy hour doesn't apply to cocktails which is just funny. The waiters are very nice but they did mess up the order 3 out of 6 times when i ordered a cocktails. It wasnt such a big problem tho cause they changed it. Funny how food outlets have more hospitality than reception. The indoor pool was too cold. 30 degrees only. which is definitely not typical for an indoor pool. The location was quite convenient. Close to the beach and many restaurants. quite a few shops around aswell. While few aspects were good, the horrible customer service at the front desk and the disappoin**ent of the room were too much. There was no willingness to help from employees and mostly ignorance unless you speak up when you are at the desk. I know there are many tasks to do at the desk but when the guest approaches, you put everything aside or at least acknowledge the guest is there and ask them to wait a few seconds. If you can't do that, change your job. My boyfriend also asked for extra amenities to decorate the room as it was a trip for our anniversary and he only got a response with prices, when he wanted to pay he was told he can do it at the arrival. of course that did not happen, and neither did any decorations.

On arriving at the hotel we were told that the junior suite that we booked in October 2023 was not available but was showing on their system. I asked for the person who booked the accommodation and was told she had left. The reception staff did not know how to deal with someone that had a disability and showed no empathy whatsoever. We were staying for 14 nights and spent 10 nights in a small room that you could not turn a chair around. After a week we spoke to Javier on reception who came from behind the desk and spoke at my level and arranged an upgrade for the last 4 nights. The restaurant’s food did not really cater for vegetarians unless you eat pasta every night but did help with a disability by reserving a table. The evening entertainment was abominable with second rate singers every night. This hotel has gone downhill consistently after Covid. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone under the age of 80 and we will certainly not be returning.

Just a short review. We never stayed in the hotel, but popped in as thinking of visiting soon. Reception staff were absolutely amazing, more than happy to let us look around, even saying we could use the snack bar it we wanted to. From what we saw this hotel is lovely, and I will be making a booking soon. Thank you again to the gentleman on reception.

We were warned of building work being carried out at the hotel before travelling. They are building a new wing it did not impact on our stay at all We were at the hotel for two weeks on half board basis and found the food to be varied and of a very good quality and the dining room staff were excellent as were all the staff we interacted with. The bedroom was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom which had a walk in shower. We had requested a walk in prior to arrival and at check in the staff were aware of our email request. The towels were changed regularly( even with out requesting it.) Again excellent service The pool area was good with a large number of sunbeds and seating available. There is also a pool bar which serves freshly cooked food at a reasonable price. In the evening there is a well staffed bar/lounge which has entertainment every evening. The entertainment was of a reasonable standard. We have been to Fuengirola a number of times and consider this to have been the best place we have stayed and will be returning to it

holidayed at the angela from march to april for the easter holidays. The hotel staff from the reception and bar staff to the cleaners were all excellent and professional at all times. My partner is disabled and the staff went out of their way to accomodate us with a mobility scooter. returning our payment in full when the one we ordered was unsuitable. The resteraunt was well run clean and there was always a variety of meats and fish available the veg choice was limited. full english breakfasts were available every day along with cereals ,fruits, cold meats and continental variety breakfasts. yes the toasters were slow aren't they all yes there were queues at the hot drinks machines at times but we were on holiday so not rushing to get anywhere. when we asked for a blanket because the first few days were cold it was in the room before we returned. A huge and lovely surprise was an ice bucket with wine and glasses for Elaines birthday which we hadnt arranged and did not expect. There were some complaints about building noise nearby and at the hotel which was minimal but remember fuengirola is a big town not a desert island you are going to get noise. we went to the angela for a holiday not to look for things to complain about, could certain things have been better in an ideal world probably. The entertainment was sometimes good sometimes ok but its horses for courses, during which we met some lovely people from different parts of the uk. Only regret it rained constantly during easter weekend so all the processions were cancelled which was a shame as we would have loved to have seen them Would we return absolutely .
