Hotel New Otani Hakata Reviews

A traditional hotel. Just walk for 2 mins from the nearby railway station.

It is a relatively old hotel but with a long history behind the brand! Hotel is big with own shopping mall & good restaurant choices inside the hotel! Services is very good! Very few hotels now still have door key kept in the front desk for guests to pick up.

The hotel is conveniently located a minute’s walk away from Watanabe Dori subway station. There is a Familymart convenience store and supermarket adjacent to the hotel. There are a couple of nearby cafes (ie. Kamakiri coffee and REC coffee) for those who need their daily caffeine. Despite being an older hotel, room in Hotel New Otani Hakata was clean, comfortable with sufficient space for 2 persons. Unless you are seeking a five-star hotel with full amenities, this offers value for money in a great location.

Very nice location

Very good, a four-star hotel. In the center of Hakata City, the buildings in Fukuoka are very modern. I stayed at the New Otani in Yokohama and it felt good, so I chose the New Otani in Hakata. The street feels a bit like Chang'an Avenue

The scent of flowers as soon as you enter the hotel~ I like it^^ The hotel is clean The room is clean The service is good The breakfast is delicious The distance from the hotel is enough to satisfy you no matter where you go^^ The bed is single, so it's a little small to sleep with children, but it was okay~

Stayed for one night temporarily. The room is relatively large in Japan. The surrounding area is very convenient. There is a local market, which can only be settled in cash. There is also a Yanagibashi market nearby, but it is closed on Sundays. The hotel service is still very good.

It was very clean and the hotel condition was the best among the hotels I've been to in Japan... The size and location were all good.

A well-established star-rated hotel, the rooms are quite large, and the summer prices are relatively reasonable. The facilities are a bit old but quite clean. Overall, it's pretty good.

It took about 20 minutes by taxi from Fukuoka Airport! It was great because it was right in front of the subway station and there was a convenience store right to the right of the hotel's main entrance!

This hotel is an old hotel with large rooms and bathtubs. The hotel is right outside the green line subway and there are escalators for luggage. There is a convenience store and a large supermarket outside the subway.

As soon as you get off the bus, there will be hotel staff to help you with your hand luggage and then directly help you take it to your room. In addition, the hotel staff at the front desk and the person who answers the phone can speak English well. The location of the hotel is quite good. There is a bus stop in about 5 minutes. You can go to most places (it is recommended to take the bus. It is fast and flat and you don’t need to walk so much). There is a subway station in about 10 minutes. But the hotel room has enough space, but the lights are dim. The decoration of the hotel is relatively old-fashioned. All the lights are yellow. There is not enough light, especially at night.

Convenient transportation, three subway stops away from Hakata Station, and just outside the Watanabe-dori subway station on the Nanakuma Line. There are Family Mart and 7-Eleven nearby. It is also not far from Nishitetsu Yakuin Station, and is within walking distance. It is very convenient to go to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. It is within walking distance to Tenjin shopping district, or you can take one subway stop. The low floor at the back of the building that is not facing the street is a bit super, and there is a buzzing sound from the external machines. Later, I was changed to a room facing the street at the front door, which is very quiet and has a good view. The room facilities are relatively old, but well maintained. There are a few sockets. Cotton yukatas are provided. Free drip coffee and skin care sample sets. The Japanese breakfast restaurant is on the top floor, with a good view. Western style is on the first floor, and Japanese food is also provided, but there is no freshly ground coffee. In short, I am quite satisfied.

I stayed at the New Otani Hotel in Shinjuku in Tokyo for a week before and had a good impression. This time I chose to stay here for one night when I returned to Fukuoka from Beppu. The hotel is in a prime location and the transportation is very convenient. There are Western and Japanese breakfast options. The service and food products are very textured. The hotel is a historic building with slightly outdated facilities. For example, the room still uses a key to open the door. The washbasin in the bathroom is very low, and it is not very comfortable to bend over and wash. However, considering the price and the convenient travel environment, this hotel is still a very good choice.
