A little bit of a walk away from Iizaka Onsen station if you don’t have a car (around 20 mins), but worth it! The onsen is amazing and definitely get the sake tasting set at the sake bar.

The hotel is beautiful, the hot spring pool is comfortable, and the private dinner rooms are secluded and delicious. Highly recommended. The only downside is its somewhat remote location.

Beautiful locally-sourced food, pretty setting by a river and forest, exceptionally helpful staff and clean, pleasant rooms. A lovely Japanese ryokan experience.

I tried the Sake Raku plan. It was all-you-can-drink sake, and there were plenty of snacks to go with it. You can bring a 1.8L bottle from the fridge, but if you tell the staff "Junmai Ginjo Sake" or "Namazake" or the brand, they will bring you three cups of 60ml each. I did that for a few rounds. We ended with some soba noodles. No matter how drunk you get, you just go back to your room, so unlike all-you-can-drink at a bar, there's no need to worry. You can enjoy Fukushima Prefecture sake.
