"It's a bit of a walk from Fukushima station, about 600 meters, but the hotel is excellent. The staff are very helpful. They provide two pillows, which is very comfortable. The bathroom is huge, and there's a shared shower room. They have cold soba noodles at night, and you can leave your luggage there. If you want overnight cleaning, just leave your key at the counter."

"It was very close to the station and it was very convenient for me who arrived at Fukushima Station at night. There were many rice shops nearby, so I didn't have any trouble going to drink rice. The hotel room is enough for one person and there are almost no amenities, so shampoo and body soap are required, but I don't think it's a problem for a good person at the minimum! There is also a donki nearby, so if you have trouble, you can go buy it."

"Be sure to bring your own toothbrush, razor, etc. There are no vending machines, so be sure to prepare everything before checking in. Bring your own food, alcohol, snacks, etc. as needed. A refrigerator, microwave, and electric kettle are provided. Prepare as if you were staying in a dormitory room."

"The breakfast and dinner are served in the room and the baths are private. I didn't meet any other guests. The guide was cute and the service was excellent. The hot spring was a little hot. I added some water!"

"I was looking for a place to stay where I could bring my pet, and I found this inn. They have a family bath, and their website said it could be used whenever it was available, but in reality, you had to make a reservation at the front desk and borrow a key. Honestly, the facilities are old, but the food is delicious! Or rather, the food was prepared with care, and you could really feel the care they put into making sure our guests enjoyed their meal. They don't use high-end ingredients, but I could tell the food was carefully prepared. I also ordered a local sake tasting set, and the young owner kindly explained the sake to me, allowing me to enjoy different types of sake. The breakfast had a wide variety of dishes, and I was really full. In the evening, I had the chance to interact with the inn's famous cats, which was fun."

Matsuriya Yuzaemon

"Festival music played in the lobby. Meals were served in the dining hall for both breakfast and dinner, but partitions were set up to provide a sense of privacy. Dinner was Japanese cuisine, including local dishes like squid and carrot salad, tempura, and sukiyaki. Breakfast included radium eggs and grilled fish. There was no menu, and the dishes were served all at once, so there was nothing particularly noteworthy, but the service was very kind. The hot springs had three open-air baths, which weren't very large, and the showers were strong, but the amenities were not complete, and the hair dryers were weak. There was no water supply in the changing room, only outside. The guest rooms were spacious enough and satisfactory. It takes more than 10 minutes to walk to public baths such as Sabako-yu, so you might get cold after bathing. The facilities are not luxurious, but it is satisfactory considering the price of the accommodation."

"This is my second time at Anahara Onsen, following Hananose. I walked down the slope from the street to the entrance. A staff member guided me to a parking space in front of the inn. While waiting in the lounge in front of the reception, I drank concentrated juice from a tap in addition to coffee and snacks. There were also ice pops, which I enjoyed after my bath. Next, I was shown the manga room (book lounge "Fukurou"). They apparently have 4,000 books. My room was on the 6th floor of Shiunkaku. From the window, I could see the Surikami River below and the mountain owned by the inn across the way. The large public baths are in the basement. In the basement of Shiunkaku are Benten-no-Yu (indoor bath) and Kamoshika-no-Yu (open-air bath), and in the basement of Ryounkaku, on the opposite side of the corridor, are Tota-no-Yu (indoor bath) and Saruami-no-Yu (open-air bath), and the men's and women's baths switch in the morning. The lower half of the window at Benten-no-Yu is made of frosted glass, so you can't see the outside scenery while you're soaking in the bath, but Tota-no-Yu has completely transparent windows. Also, the open-air bath Saruami-no-Yu is closer to the river and has a better view. There is an indoor pool between the two baths, but it was already closed in September. Across the walkway in front of the pool, there is an exhibition of photographs taken when members of the imperial family visited. Dinner was at Restaurant Matsukaze. There seemed to be a group there, so they kindly showed us to a private room. The food was delicious, with Kuroge Wagyu beef sukiyaki and more, more than we could eat. Breakfast was a buffet at the same restaurant. The pancakes were especially delicious. There are no traditional waitresses, but all the staff were kind, and we had a very pleasant night."

"This was my second time staying at this hotel. I was always able to relax in the bath, as it was always private. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Feeling the river breeze after a bath was the ultimate luxury. I would like to stay again."
