Lovely, modern, quirky hotel...on arrival and throughout our stay, the staff were friendly. The rooms were spotlessly clean. Was quite a variety of hot & cold selections at Breakfast. The rooftop bar had panoramic views of the sea infront and the mountains behind...beautiful view...the only downfall was our bed...we had room 105 and the bed had a broken leg, it got fixed, but if my partner turned over at night, was like being on a watered, didn't feel quite sturdy...room had an internal window looking towards a big plant...not much room ventilation...overall though, it's a fantastic hotel, just needs a new bed...

Zwei Nächte in Funchal, in der ersten Nacht mussten wir im dritten Stock in einem sehr engen Zimmer mit kleinem Fenster in den Innenhof (meiden 305), der aber sich als Lüftungsschacht mit Baustelle darstellte übernachten. Nach Upgrade (50 € haben wir ein sehr schönes Zimmer bekommen Zimmer 101. Nicht zu empfehlen sind die Zimmer nach innen zum Atrium. Kaffeemaschine zwei Tage defekt, Frühstücks Buffet sehr eng!

The hotel is in the heart of capital city, Funchal. The management and staff was very helpful. Food and the view at terrace was breath taking. We wanted to go hiking for the sunrise and they offered us a go to breakfast. I have never seen this polite and friendly service before. Thank you!

My experience was very bad, I do not recommend this hotel. My room was terrible, without a window, toilet or shower with a glass partition, but the answer was enough for the reception that.* it is Standard* Furthermore, the heated pool is COLD!!!!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Breakfast was superb - could not be bettered. A second coffee machine would reduce the queues. Taking our breakfast in the street was an additional delight. Swimming in the sea before breakfast was also superb. We think that the rooftop bar is good during the hours of daylight but a bar next to reception would be an asset in the evenings.

Location of hotel is excellent with many Funchal sites very close by. The staff were friendly and helpful. I am a handicapped man, and the staff were kind to help me out with all requests. The breakfast selections were wonderful and changed up a bit each day. The rooftop bar was a haven of relaxation with great views of city. The hotel lobby area is very nicely appointed with many antiques great for photos. The hotel's restaurants were close by, and food was healthy and filling with many local favorite dishes. Improvements could be made in the following areas: 1. Hand sanitizer station should be placed as you enter breakfast room. 2. Housekeeping needs to check items in room to see if items need to be replaced, towels renewed, etc. Many requests I had to front desk to housekeeping were not fulfilled! 3. Air conditioning in room was very weak. Could not get room cooled off. It helped that window opens for the air outside was cooler than in the room. Despite the above items, I would return to this hotel anytime and would highly recommend this hotel any visit to Madeira. Thank you for a lovely visit!

Very central location, convenient for all that Funchal has to offer. Staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and the roof top bar is a marvellous place to sit for an early evening drink overlooking the sea before dinner. The barman made me a gin sour - best I have ever tasted!
