"I had a two day flight delay, completely outside my control...Duas Torres still refused to refund even one of the three nights I couldn’t stay. No flexibility no empathy, nothing. Just the same cold “policy is policy” line while they kept the full amount Lastminute actually tried to help...They contacted the hotel multiple times, escalated it, pushed for a fair solution. Duas Torres still refused. So the issue wasn’t the booking agent — it was the hotel digging their heels in. What really set off alarm bells was how deliberately difficult they make it to reach them....They still list their old email (starts with "info") on Lastminute and even on their own website ...the one international travellers rely on. When you try to contact them, suddenly it’s “ that’s our old email, we have a new one.” Right. Convenient. If it’s old, why is it still the only one displayed everywhere? Why is that the email they give to booking platforms? Why does it conveneintly go nowhere? It feels like a tactic .. keep the outdated email up, let messages disappear into a void, then use the “that’s our old email” excuse to avoid dealing with guests properly. Because that email was useless.. I had no choice but to call their local Portugues number directly ,cost a ridiculous amount ... just to hear the same scripted refusal. Theyre not on WhatsApp either, which basically every modern hotel uses. Another barrier. Another hoop...Another way to make sure internatianal guests have limited ways to reach them. The whole experience made one thing clear.. If anything goes wrong with your trip — even something completely outside your control — Duas Torres will hide behind excuses, outdated contact details, and “policy” while keeping your money. There are plenty of hotels in Madeira that actually care about their guests. This one clearly doesn’t."

"We had a wonderfully comfortable ten nights in this beautiful hotel, steeped in luxury in a room with stunning views across the ocean. We had a duplex suite which had plenty of space and a bathroom on each floor. All the soft drinks in the mini bar were complimentary and the private lift very useful for transporting heavy cases! It’s blissfully quiet and the staff are all delightful. The highlight of every day was being welcomed at breakfast by the lovely Marlene and her team who are all gracious and helpful. Lovely bar at The Cliff Bay too."

It was my Birthday 🎂 and I wanted to Celebrate in this “Specific Hotel” Pestana CR7, near The Museum and the Statue, because I am a Great Fan of Cristiano Ronaldo, since many Years. I Admire the Person, the Football Player, the Professional, His Character. Cristiano Ronaldo not only he is the Best Football Player that ever exhibited in Portugal, but also one of the Best Football Players in the Whole World. CR7 was the Best Ambassador that Portugal 🇵🇹 had. He has Human Qualities that also made Ronaldo to be “a Very Special Person”!!!… I Respect and am Very Proud for having a Person Like Cristiano Ronaldo to be Portuguese, same as myself, and Wish Him and His Family all my Very Best Wishes. The Hotel is Super Well Located, walking Distance from the Centre of Funchal, with lots of nice things around, local Restaurants, Bars & Coffee Places to go. Beautiful Churches to Visit; and a Wonderful Market to see. It is also walking distance to catch a “Cable Car” that will take you to Visit 2 of the Most Beautiful Gardens, that you will ever see. And of Course, last but not the least, also next to the place where you catch the World Wide Famous “Carreiros do Monte”, certainly a Must see / Must Do, thay you will never forget. At the Hotel, the Staff couldn’t be Nicer, available, and professional. For me this was also a “10”!!! The only thing that I was a bit “disappointed” is the Hotel Entrance, I was excpecting something Nicer, and the in what concerns my the Decoratuon also needs some “improvements”. The Rooms are quite big, mine had a great View, but the Furniture from the Room and Bathroom, the Mattresses, Pillows, are not the Best. Some “Renovation Works” would be needed, but as this is a Hotel thay also belongs to Cristiano Ronaldo, I was honestly expecting something more WOW, but this did not make my stay less Perfect, on the Contrary, I was surprisingly Welcomed, with Birthday Wishes in my Room, a Chocolate Cake decorated with “Golden Boots”, a Bottle of Champagne, Baloons, Hearts, and something also written in the Bathroom Mirror, wishing me “Happy Birthday” and signed CR7. Unforgetable, and the Staff couldn’t have been Nicer. A big PLUS. Breakfast is Good, and everything “runner smoothly” during this very Precious and Important Weekend to me and my Sister Vera. I want to thank everyone who took care of me, and that made my Birthday 🎂🥂🍾🎈so Special. Congratulations CR7 Team 🙏🏻👏👏👏🫶"

"The hotel is conveniently located for traveling by car. Almost across the street is a shopping center. There are many shops nearby. Spacious rooms, huge balconies. Cool varied breakfast with champagne. The hotel has many beautiful photo zones with views of the ocean and the sunrise! Luxurious terrace! Outdoor pool and jacuzzi are not with ice water, we went in the winter without any problems. In the indoor pool, the water is much warmer, but there is a strong smell of chlorine. Upon arrival, they give out cards for a welcome drink at the bar located in the lobby. It was nice. Once we went to dinner, which is served as a buffet. But we did not like it. It was not as tasty as we would have liked. The only negative we found was paid parking in the underground garage! Why not make parking free for guests? But, I must admit, for a 4 - go stars Hotel is very good! I recommend!"
