The hotel is very beautiful, and great location, BREAKFAST IS AMAZING - and the staff is very hospitable. Rodrigo on reception was very helpful-however we had builders outside our room, which was a bit annoying as you couldn’t go on the terrace. We called Tripp and they were very helpful.

Very good hotel top location right next to the bus direction airport and direction center
Well soundproofed because we had seen the works … and that's fine, we slept very well despite that
Only downside is breakfast or on arrival they force you to choose a time
In case of change, you must call the night before.
It's super annoying! Especially when you don't have a precise schedule
We didn't respect the schedule every day and it's ok, we didn't fail :)

Our second time at this hotel after several visits to its sister property, Baia Azul. Can't say enough positive things about it. Location is excellent, the staff are so friendly and bend over backwards to help and the style is on point throughout. We upgraded to the Deluxe Room this time which gave better sea views plus access to the spa. The spa is lovely, not heaps of facilities but all really modern and you can reserve a private hour daily so you have the Turkish bath, sauna and relaxation room to yourself. A really nice touch! We absolutely love the Baia Azul and, in our opinion, it does pip this one to the post just because the breakfast room and terrace is so gorgeous with views of the bay. But for everything else, Alto Lido is tiptop! A huge well done and thanks to all the team who made us and our mini Madeira lovers very welcome!
