Service and food was excellent, with beautiful ocean views and infinity pool. Pool table was good but not much activities at teen club. Steam room was out of service during our trip. Overall a good, relaxing break.

Overall we had a lovely holiday . The room was very spacious with two very comfortable double beds . In easyJet’s website it advertised every room had a bath and shower but actually it’s difficult to get a bath which we requested. The hotel isn’t 5 star as there is a distinct lack of service everywhere it’s very much the ethos of help yourself to everything . Especially apparent around the pool . During the day . The staff are friendly and enjoyed the three Restaurants which have set menus and open different days . The pool was lovely and no problem getting a sunbed but again could do with some comfort with padded cushions.just lacking those extra touches you expect from 5 star . Drinks were nice and decent quality and buffet food was adequate. Overall a nice 4 star and staff work very hard just not enough of them .

As per the title, but this is due mainly to the staff who were so friendly and helpful, they really made my holiday (I am considering returning this Christmas). Bellhop to take your bags to your room, the rooms are sizeable and very clean, I did have to ask for a kettle, but it arrived in 2 minutes. All rooms have a sea view. Facilities, as you would expect, gym, kids, and teens club. Food was extremely good, although the menu varied little. A couple of dislikes that didn't affect the enjoyment of my holiday, evening entertainment, and the wine. Oh, and Madeira is a beautiful, friendly island.

We have just returned from this lovely, friendly hotel. The initial welcome upon checking in was very warm and she made us aware of how it all worked including restaurants, pool and the hotel in general. Our side sea view room was big, bright and comfortable. One of the best beds I’ve ever slept in!!! The food in the restaurants was very well cooked and to a high standards. We ate once in the Italian and the Madeiran. We didn’t eat in the Asian but the buffet restaurant had an amazing choice every night. The restaurant staff were friendly and quick to clear away dirty plates etc. We walked into Funchal town which was nice but quite long. I would recommend pre booking the cable car tickets because when the cruise ships are docked the queues for tickets are long. The pool area is kept very clean and good amount of sun beds and umbrellas. The evening entertainment is of a good standard with variation for everyone. Overall, we loved our week here and would recommend it for anyone who wants a nice relaxing week away. Thank you.

Spent a week at this Hotel on a AI basis. Was a little sceptical as don’t usually do AI. However unlike past experiences this ticked the right boxes. Checking in and out was swift. Lovely friendly professional staff. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Food plentiful and very good choices for all meals, especially breakfast. Just up our street with lovely healthy options and plenty of fresh fruit. The one thing that struck me was the fact they encouraged guests to take out food for their picnics! Even providing little bags to put your choices in! Never come across that nice touch before. Local wine was perfectly drinkable. Room was spacious and kept beautifully clean. Everything worked well. Wonderful location for enjoyable coastal walks. Easy access out of hotel grounds to step onto the promenade. One criticism it was rather noisy around the indoor pool area. Where sometimes there was a large gathering talking loud which due to the acoustics resonated around! Decent entertainment at the end of the day. Easy walk in or out of Funchal town. A little steep in places but not a problem. Local bus service was great. We bought a 3 day pass which cost approx €12 pp. Hop on & hop off worked well. Bus stop into Funchal town just a few steps from the hotel. Hope to revisit hotel in the future.
