The location is great. But just in advance to provide a room with an ocean view, however, they gave a view of the courtyard. Breakfast is normal. At check-in, they did not give a complimentary glass of wine, as they gave to all guests. Even though I arrived late, I expected a glass - this is a sign of attention to the guest. The pool has a gorgeous view of the Grand Marina. Also, there was not even a bottle of drinking water in the room, this is also a mess.

Very clean hotel, perfect buffet, as soon as we arrived they served us a glass of wine, they were super friendly and if you smoke there is also a lovely terrace to sit and get some fresh air. Highly recommended, we loved it!!

The service staff is professional, but the facilities are old, only the fan doesn't turn very well.... The sound insulation of the room is also average, and you can always hear the sound of stepping on the floor upstairs. The roof view is also average

Wonderful hotel in the heart of Funchal. Easy access to anywhere in the city. Some road construction near by that limits taxi pick up access, but hotel room is very comfortable, pool is lovely with great view and wonderfully helpful and friendly staff!

This hotel is quite perfect.
Cheap price but it's including breakfast and swimming pool. Breakfast tastes so good so many drinks option.
I guess most of the roon have balcony? And reception staffs were all to sweet and nice.

Très bien situé, l'hôtel est un peu "désuet", c'est ce qui fait son charme. Notre chambre située au premier étage était un peu sombre mais ce doit être appréciable l'été. Ménage nickel. Literie très bonne. A l'accueil, personnel très à l'écoute, souriant et pour certains parlant français. Petit déjeuner et diner sous forme de buffet, nourriture simple mais bonne. La terrasse au rooftop nous offre une vue sur Funchal à 360 °. Nous n'avons pas beaucoup profité de la piscine, le temps ne s'y prêtait pas. Si nous revenons à Madère, nous y reviendrons , c'est sûr.

The staff are simply the best here . From check in to check out they ensured our stay was fabulous. Shout out to the young guy who served at breakfast with the biggest smile and lovely manners. Rooms are fine, clean and plenty of storage , good shower . We had a small balcony that had lovely views to the side. The pool area has only a dozen or so loungers and a couple on the sun deck, where there is plenty room to add more. So maybe tricky to get one in high season, we were ok but didn’t go up there until 5 ish . Breakfast was presented well, lots of fruit, bread, pastries and small selection of hot. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, everything is within a short walk, have no hesitation recommending.

Excellent location in the old town. Room with a balcony to the street was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Roof top pool is amazing with an amazing view of the town. Swim-able even in January. Special thanks to Tanya who helped us get a better room.
