A very simple, modest and old hotel that has been in need of repair and replacement of equipment for a long time. The rooms facing the street do not have balconies and cars with goods for the store are unloaded early in the morning under the windows of the hotel. The rooms facing the courtyard have balconies, but this is the sunny side (and there are no air conditioners in the windows) and there is a constant hum of ventilation. A very, very simple breakfast and bad coffee.

The service was good in this Hotel. Everything as expected.
I also enjoyed the food in the Breakfast (with lots of options in there).

Excellent location. Friendly staff. Overall a very good breakfast. Nice room. Overall everything was super and I recommend this hotel if you are considering a budget option for a holiday in Madeira.

I’m sure this review will be biased as I never actually made it into the hotel. On arrival was treated by a number of guests who had also had their rooms double booked. This wouldn’t be the end of the world but this was at 23:00 at night. Despite saying that the taxi to the new accommodation would be there shortly it took until 00:30 to arrive. The new accommodation was excellent however the terrible planing and service does not make up for it

Hotel outdated. Requires renovation. The worst thing is the lack of air conditioning. A big plus for the location. Everywhere nearby. The door next to a well-stocked market
