Un hotel 4 estrellas buenísimo, El personal muy amable , Mari Luz un encanto , servicial, atenta con los clientes, se desvive por los mismos. Un 10. El desayuno rico, rico, no muy extenso pero con mucha calidad. Como única pega le pondría que el cuarto de aseo de la habitación que nos tocó se quedaba corto en iluminación.

Hotel muito fraco, não deveria ser considerado quatro estrelas. Quartos com muito pouco gosto na decoração, tv muito pequena, com boxe a fazer muito barulho quando ligada. Pequeno-almoço muito muito pouco variado. Na realidade, tudo ao nível de um hotel três estrelas. Cobraram-nos 4 euros por uma água, quando em qualquer hotel quatro estrelas é grátis. Valeu-nos a simpatia da funcionária MariLuz. A não recomendar

Um hotel com um atendimento maravilhoso ,são ótimos com os hóspedes ,fazem tudo para agradar ,porém o café da manhã é ruim ,poucas opções ,apesar do bom atendimento ,mas faltam opções e mais cuidado com a qualidade dos pães e dos doces servidos ,parecem velhos e pouco atraente, a limpeza do quarto é excelente,mas no chuveiro vaza muita água para fora ,o atendimento da recepção é primoroso , muito bem localizado

Excellent little hotel in the city centre. Fantastic little rooms very nice design and loved my room with a view. The service was absolutely first class from all the staff from the moment I arrived I felt so welcomed by the lovely lady I don’t remember your name but you were fantastic. Also the girl from venezuela who served me in breakfast was amazing as was the chef. I can’t wait to return to Funchal and will book here first or the sister hotel Quinta Mirabela which has excellent facilities sauna steam jacuzzi swimming etc. Well done guys see you soon. We stayed for 7 nights (Jan 18-25). We were very satisfied. It's a few minute walk to the city center. Small hotel but the rooms are clean and spacious. Very good breakfast with freshly fried/scrambled eggs. Great staff. Special thanks to Barbara and Maryluz.

After many years of travel I finally found my perfect hotel, this was more like visiting family than a strange hotel, being recently bereaved and almost an octogenarian I found their patience and understanding was a welcome not so usually found, led by the wonderful Maryluz, receptionist, and restaurant supervisor they fussed over me like a mother hen, This is a wonderfully clean hotel with spacious rooms with king sized beds set in a great location minutes from Funchal center, the restaurant is really nice and breakfasts were the best i have had anywhere with a wide range of cold meats, fruit juice etc and cooked breakfast cooked to order then served at table along with a pot of coffee, the rooms are cleaned everyday with clean towels provided, there is also a safe in the room but best of all the care and friendlyness of all of the the staff, Maryluz is a wonderful lady and made my holiday a joy even giving me a cuddle when i left so thank you Maryluz and all the staff at the Funchal Design i hope to see you all again someday and i will certainly recommend the Hotel to anyone visiting the beautiful Island of Madera

It WAS monday. We landed in Funchal at 1 pm. After a nice coffee and a brake we went to the cocktail party at the Hotel. There were se several foreigners and some of our Finnish bridge players. Nice cocktail party.
