Pour ce prix, on pensait avoir bien mieux. Le mobilier est vétuste (déchiré et trop abbîmé). Pas très aimable, on ne sait pas grand chose sur l'hôtel (est t'il possible de prendre un repas ?), pas de prospectus d'excutions, pas de balcon. Les seuls avantages sont qu'il est proche du centre ville et que l'endroit est calme. Ne donne pas envie d'y rentrer (donne l'impression d'un bunker). Le petit déjeuner est certe sympathique et servi à table mais au bout d'une semaine on s'en lasse vite. Les jus proposés sont trop allongé à l'eau, c'est dommage. Belle terrasse

Very large clean rooms, a little echoey because of the wooden flooring througout the hotel. Bathroom a little dated but perfectly functional and very large comfortable bed with view over the town. Waitress served a la carte breakfast in the beautiful garden was outstanding. A very quiet area just outside the centre, 20 mins walk down to attractions like the market, cable car and Blandys - and only a 5 min (€1.5) bus ride (#31 or #34) back up the hill to the bus stop right outside. Underground on-site car park was small but easy. I'd definately stay here again.

Our stay here totally exceeded expectations! The grounds are gorgeous and the room was enormous compared to the other hotels we stayed at in Lisbon and Porto. The staff were incredibly sweet and accommodating. The kitchenette in the room was such a welcome surprise. We were able to cook a nice dinner one evening that we enjoyed on the patio overlooking downtown Funchal. Definitely hit the breakfast for 12 euros at least once. It was charming and delicious.
