Intercontinental Fuzhou is the best. As my wife got pregnant, we decided to celebrate 🥳. We chose intercontinental. The experience was fabulous. We really enjoyed our weekend here 100%. As we arrived to the hotel we went through check in process with Mr Leo, a very humble, gentle and professional man. Surprisingly he upgraded our room to suite room on the 28th floor 😃. It was a very fancy one really. Thanks to Mr Leo and his colleague at the front desk, the room service ( was super) and hostesses at the restaurant. All were there for us. Much love and respect. Looking to see you again 🤞🤞🤞

You can see the whole three lanes and seven alleys in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows, so I bought some wine before coming back in the evening, and it was very comfortable to sit by the bed and watch the night view and have a drink. 4. I was worried about the poor water quality in the room after reading previous reviews, but the front desk said it had been taken care of, and no problem was found when I checked in. This hotel is really a great value for money! I am very pleased that I chose this hotel. All staff at the hotel tries very hard to satisfy the customers. I can see that most staff is well trained by the hotel's management. Despite being an older hotel, everything is well maintained. I will definitely stay at this hotel again the next time I visit Fuzhou. Management, great hotel, great job ! Just to offer a comment for further improvement: I don't know why the restaurant staff doesn't seem to have a habit of collecting empty dishes during a buffet to the extent that table-top space gets very crowded. A number of times, there were waiters/waitresses standing next to my table. Although they were not busy, they still did not remove my stacking empty dishes. The staff does not seem to be lazy people. Perhaps they have not been instructed to do so. This is an unusual practice for a good hotel.

This hotel is a gem!!! The hotel is very clean, tidy and secured. The hotel location is very strategic and accessible. It is close to scenic spots, subway and bus. On top of that, the staff are very friendly, especially the staff name Fengling. She is very helpful with good service attitude. Would definitely stay this place if re-visit Fuzhou again and recommend others to stay over here.

It was the only hotel in that area hosting foreigners, unfortunately the Covid-19 relates policy doesn't allow many hotels to register non chinese customers, which is still mind-blowing to me after more than 2 years. And we always have to end it up in more expensive hotels. Anyways, at the réception we had a bit of a confusing experience with the 3 guys there trying to deal with 2 foreigners passports.. Tough task for an international hotel chain! Anyways, room was fine, very clean and tidy. A new and modern building and facility. Breakfast wasn't available in the beginning, we went to the hall but nothing was served, we were told we had to ask for whay we wanted and that they weren't expecting people to come.. Weird reply.. A very low service considered that a facility should organize a little breakfast when they know they have customers. I mean, it's a hotel 😅,that's their point. Provide shelter and first meal. But yeah, anyway. The location is quite central. We just walked to the main central and ancient city center.

First off, I almost changed hotels and lost the booking because the name inside the hotel and the front are completely different! There is no mention of a name change anywhere. I had just gone in to ask directions to the hotel and it was the right spot. It's called the Lucerne or something like that. It's the only hotel I have ever seen with a ”fake window” so that was different. It was good otherwise, there was a little tea set in the room and I got a good night's sleep. The breakfast was nice and plentiful with continental and Chinese offerings, plus juice and coffee. I would stay again, but please update the name so other travelers do not get confused. Also, I speak English, so they communicated with me on Google translate, it worked well.

Overall, it was a great experience! It’s in a lively area with shops and safe to walk even after sunset (but still at a reasonably hour). There’s a supermarket about 5 min walk and a seven-11 right next to the hotel entrance. They upgraded us because when we checked in they did not have our room ready yet. The room was spacious and had two chairs and a table as a seating area right next to the window! The bed was comfortable and everything seemed clean. They even helped us set up our wifi because we couldn’t get it to work. Our favorite place is the little bakery place outside the hotel on the corner. They have the BEST cream puffs! We got it every night. They are dense but so delicious!! Another amazing thing is that the airport shuttle is RIGHT across the street. Our flight was at 9am and the local bus doesn’t run until 6:30 and it takes an hour so it wouldve been really difficult/ expensive to get there otherwise that early. Luckily, the airport shuttle service starts at 5am! It was 31RMB per person.
