Best Hotels in Gachnang, Switzerland

We were here at six in 3 double rooms on a roth trip. The price for the rooms was good. The rooms are very narrow with little space - for example, only 1qm place next to beds. Breakfast is OK. The beds must be removed yourself.

We arrived after a long drive and the owner gave us a warm welcome and invited us to sit down with a welcome beverage… that was very much appreciated! We also had dinner at the restaurant that evening and it was excellent! I was traveling with my sister and we both ordered the special of the day - trout with roasted vegetable potatoes. It was absolutely delicious! And the after dinner mojito was incredible. Thank you for the great service and stay.

Restaurant Schmitte: have looked at the rooms briefly over the day. We liked it very well, so we came back to dinner. Friendly reception, discharge of the clothes. The Stv. Restaurant manager recommends the current house apéro in bloomy words: we order this, as well as a tomato juice. To eat we select the 2-farbige caroten mousse and the salmon forelle in the glass, as well as the zander filet and the Pata-Negra Tagliata. Everything tastes very fine - compliment to the kitchen! The main corridors are very generously portioned. To do this, the (very competent) restaurant manager recommends the red Quarteto of Lenz - super! Despite the full restaurant we are carefully taken care of, including by the apprentice (see next sentence). Also very positively, we are also impressed that in this business youth are trained with support needs. All respect and appreciation for the patrons of this house, and congratulations on this beautiful operation in this quite well-reconstructed historical apartment!

It’s an excellent hotel, with fascinating breakfast ! The room was very spacious and clean. I enjoyed my stay there. The only negative thing is that the windows of my room looked to the railway. I traveled there in the beginning of June, it was not hot and I didn’t have to open a window at night. But I can imagine that in hot weather the sounds of trains can be really annoying .

We have stayed at the same hotel again, so there were no surprises, on the contrary : a sense of familiarity. The hotel is clean and quiet and its location is very convenient, three minutes by public transport from the railway station and at the same time away from noise. We could do with a little more variety at breakfast. I would particularly like to thank the staff at the reception desk, who were very kind and helpful.

One of the best places I’ve stayed so far. Literary 2 minutes’ walk from the train station. The facility itself is very clean, modern looking and have freshening bright white interior. The room that we stayed was spacious and clean, had spotless clean sheets/linens, and more than adequate catering (coffee capsules of Nespresso and cream&sugar). The floor cleaners was so polite and hospitable. In addition, the 8th of June 2023 morning front-office staff Ada Ammann was outstandingly polite, hospitable, cheerful and eager to help us. We were sleepless and tired because of the flight and she helped us to check-in before the announced hour. She also provided us w/ the info to get train tickets, FX conversion points and even breakfast options. To sum up, I highly recommend this hotel to all who wishes to visit Zurich area.

Positively, I want to highlight the uncomplicated check-in, as well as the very hearty and friendly way of the staff at the reception. My room in the 3. The floor was very spacious, modernly furnished and offered a very nice bathroom. Room facilities/comfort are top for a house of this category (air conditioning, water cooker, tea, coffee, safe, big desk, comfortable bed, sufficient sticks/screw. Connections, Very good lighting at night etc ...) Because of the very good sound isolation, the opposite railway station was practically unheard at closed window. Breakfast also good, light, sufficiently large breakfast room with view to the indoor station. I have two criticisms, however, and that is why I could not give the full five points. The air conditioning was not able to cool below 26 degrees despite the highest level and in a room to the southeast it will be very warm in the room in June at an outer temperature of about 30 degrees. And secondly, I can understand that in the present time a refrigerator/minibar is no longer used too often in hotels. Only if such a person is displayed on the home page when the room description is given, he should be present in the room. In addition, I was very satisfied with my stay and can recommend the hotel with regard to location, equipment, service and price.
