Newly renovated and attractive but not ready for customers. We stay at Residence Inn because of the kitchens, but the kitchen was very disappointing. There were no pots and pans. There were minimal utensils. The microwave did not heat at all, even though it had electricity. When we asked the front desk for cooking utensils we got one pot immediately but we never got the frying pan or another pot that they promised us. With the microwave not working this was a severe shortcoming. The staff was very friendly and obliging but apparently they were powerless to locate the equipment that we needed. At least the freezer worked great. And the renovated decor was attractive. The shower pressure was okay but not great, and the temperature was good, but the floor of the shower was slippery, especially under the soap and shampoo products.

Stay was wonderful the receptionists' Art Katina , and Debby are very helpful duri.g my stay . Also the house keeper Neya made sure my room was serviced regularly. The newly remodeled gym is nice. The only thing I had a problem with is that one of the my coworkers is having to take the propane bottle to get refilled for the newly installed grill in the courtyard .

Great service and great facilities. Wonderful breakfast provision. Even had gluten free options. Restful stay and clean. Some road noise but it was like white noise to us. Great walking options to amenities like restaurants shopping and sports facility which was the purpose of our visit.

The hotel has undergone a renovation within the last six months which makes this the perfect place to stay in Gainesville. All the staff are fantastic and will bend over backwards to make your stay enjoyable. Weither it be the Tanika, Debbie, or Carlos at the front desk, Malcolm in Housekeeping runs himself ragged making sure all of the 118 rooms are clean and ready for guest. He is truely an asset to the hotel. He comes in early and stays late to get the job done. His crew includes Kristen and Stacy, among others, who do a fantastic job. The breakfast in the morning is fresh, tasty, and great! Mark and Jacui arrive at 5 am each day to make sure everything is prepped and ready when the service starts. They ensure that all the food areas are clean, replenished often, the coffee pots are full, the tables are clean, and they are there to help you in anyway they can. If something is broken, hotel maintenance will get on it right away to correct the problem. If you are coming to Gainesville, this is where you want to stay. It is convinent to everything and is very affordable.

I frequent Residence Inn whenever I travel for various reasons. Always a good experience. However. This time, the shower shampoo/soap bottles were empty and there was no comforter on the bed. I called the front desk to report it and was told one would be brought up. A smaller wooly blanket was brought up instead and I was told they were “out of comforters”. At a hotel. Very strange. The material was a bit itchy for me personally so an uncomfortable night. Won’t be back and will stay at the next town over during my next work trip.

It is very basic hotel. Bring your own hair dryer and iron they are not supplied. The front desk when asked for one was Horrified that I even asked... The room are incredibly noisy. Check in was that 3pm. However it was after 7 before I was able to get a room. Jess at the front is the only good thing. She is incredibly helpful and will go out of her way to make sure your stay is great. Make this you last option. Other amazing places to stay in Gainesville.
