Holiday Inn Joplin

They had problems with the ADA room I had a reservation for and didn't email me. They admitted it right then and said they screwed up. They give me another ADA room and they comp me the night stay. They also gave me 2 comp breakfast in their restaurant. The counter guy when I checked in was great, he couldn't stop saying how sorry he was and also the hotel was sorry. Before I even asked about why I should pay for a room I didn't want he said that his manger said don't charge him for the room. I stay at about 40 hotel nights a year and never have I been treated this nice. Now to the room. The room was being remodeled and things were a little messy but was told beforehand, but it had a roll in shower and that is what I wanted and needed. I have stayed there before, and I will stay there again. Room was very big, bed was great, heat and A/C worked fine, WIFI had 5 bars. Again, they went above what I had expected without having to email IHG. They were GREAT

First time ever on check with a firm reservation that room rate was adjusted upward on arrival. Hotel said on arrival there were actually various military/government rates apart from one published fixed rate set on national web page. Never happen previously as long time member, user. Was minimal up charge so did not quibble, feeling that Neev Holding/KMG Hotels management firm doing disservice entire Corporate image worried about pennies. Local area has so many hotels, all needing more business. Sad that hotel new and clean, but not welcoming or smiling, no breakfast, no gratis water, just looking spartan.

The hotel is situated close to everything that Joplin has to offer, the staff were fine and assisted us with a personal problem, the only problem was that during our stay the pool was closed. We ate at the Route 66 pub and grill in the hotel, which was good and the buffet breakfast was also good.

Very clean hotel. Very friendly staff. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Conveniently located off of I-44 (but was in a weird placement off of the main road). Tons of chain restaurants within walking distance. Didn’t offer a continental breakfast… which was a bummer. But great value. Felicia in the restaurant was absolutely amazing.

We had a good stay here - rooms are spacious and clean. We didn't have breakfast, but tried out the gym - which was ok. The hotel was very convenient for the highway that we were travelling on, and is close to a number of restaurants.

Stayed here last night. Rooms were clean beds were comfy and quiet. Checked out this morning and I left my purse on the ground by the coffee bar. Teresa was working the front desk and found It right away. Went over and beyond trying to locate me. Came back 15 minutes later and she had it at the front desk. Way to go Teresa. Many thanks to you.

Having stayed at many Holiday Inns, I was pleased to see that the room in new, modern and very comfortable. I had a king bed, there was an additional sofa with a roll out mattress like a trundle bed. The room had a minifridge and microwave. Large TV and a Keurig machine. Bathroom shower was good. I received a welcome drink to enjoy at the bar, they served a cold IPA on a tall glass that I enjoyed in the outside seating area. Overall a lot better than other Holiday Inns and a lot better than other hotels in area. Plenty of free parking and a lot of fast food walking distance, even a food 4 less grocery store and Sam's club. Hotel is far in from main road that it is quiet.

it's 2022 and you get a piece of paper telling you the channels that you can watch! no guide, no idea of provider to look online to find a guide shower gross, drain clogged did not even drain, poor house keeping phone in room not plugged in to call front desk for new TV remote that did not work hate to give a bad review, yet here it is....

I stayed here for business for one night and stay at a lot of hotels. I did the online check-in when I received an email, and my room was ready with a set of keys when I checked in. As I settled into my room, I noticed that overall it appeared very new, fresh, and clean. However, the fitted sheet was directly put on over the mattress - no mattress cover barrier, and no mattress pad. I went to go pick up dinner, and I asked the front desk clerk if housekeeping had already left and explained the situation and asked for a mattress pad. She said she couldn't put it on the bed, which I said was fine and that I would remake the bed if she'd just drop it off while I was gone. I returned a while later, and she had remade the bed with the mattress pad. Great service as I'm sure she did not have a lot of front desk help at 7:30 PM, and poor service on the housekeeping part. I then went to reheat my food in the microwave which was clean. However, it wasn't plugged in. And, the cord was really stuck behind the microwave and the contraption of furniture that it is placed in where a hole is bored out of the back for the cords. It was massively stuck where I couldn't reach the end of the cord. Finally, I moved the furniture piece out and was able to plug it into a power ***** (which is probably not allowed - fire code?). The microwave then worked fine, but again, this is a housekeeping issue who needed to ensure this was functional. I slept great with no noise, good mattress, and nice blackout drapes. The shower gave good pressure as well, and there were plenty of towels. Only one elevator worked for the 24 hours I was there. I was told the other was out of service. I also did not see any trash containers in the lobby or at the outside entrance. I felt the parking was safe with plenty of lighting. The front desk attendant in the morning was also pleasant when I received my receipt and checked out. I would stay again, but the housekeeping team needs more supervision or a better inspector.
