My stay at The Heritage Hotel Galle Fort was remarkable, with its fantastic location being a highlight. Nestled conveniently close to a variety of restaurants and shops, it offers the ease of exploring Galle's vibrant culture right at your doorstep.
The proximity to the iconic lighthouse and the beaches, just a short walk away, adds to the charm of the hotel. Starting the day with the wonderful breakfast options available was a delight. Moreover, the professionalism of the staff was commendable; they were attentive and ensured a seamless experience throughout my stay.
The combination of location, service, and comfort makes The Heritage Hotel a place I would gladly choose again for future visits to Galle.

Very good hotel, very warm and considerate service, breakfast is very good, they also helped me buy a train ticket from Galle to Colombo, and extended the check-out time according to the train time

The building is very beautiful and the hospitality is warm and welcoming. Exceptional comfort in the room. The furnishings and setting are very impressive and offer a memorable experience of Galle. Our Sri Lankan breakfast was cooked by the chef at the hotel and was my best experience of Sri Lankan food with a great variety of dishes and fragrant spices e.g. egg hoppers with accompaniments and dahl to name a few of a great spread.

Lovely, relaxing hotel in a good central location in the old town, perfect for exploring Galle. Very clean, comfortable and spacious room on the first floor overlooking the central garden area. Really friendly, attentive staff and excellent food, both at breakfast and evening. Lots to like!

A comfortable hotel with a relaxed and friendly feel. Our room was on the third floor overlooking the central area with its pretty Temple Trees. It was a nice size room with very comfortable beds and cosy bedding. A spacious bathroom with a powerful shower was very welcome for a hose down in the morning and after a day out and about. We really enjoyed the breakfast which was a choice of European or Sri Lankan, what a feast, fruit platter, pastries, eggs, toast plus juice, tea and coffee. The only negative was the coffee, I am super fussy and it wasn’t to my liking. Having stayed in many of the hotels in Galle Fort I would definitely choose The Heritage Hotel again. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but friends did and they were impressed with the selection of delicious vegetarian curries. The location is very central on Church Street where a nice choice of restaurants and other hotels are located. The Pasta Factory opposite the gates serves truly authentic Italian fare. For a Latte or Cappuccino fix it has to be Fort Bazzar on Church Street. Thank You to the lovely restaurant breakfast staff who brought me breakfast to the room when I felt unwell one morning.

We were booked at another hotel within Galle Fort which told us they had double booked and there was no room for us for one night - so The Heritage was our second choice. We liked the place so much we cancelled the first hotel we had booked and stayed at The Heritage for our entire holiday. Its a quiet, clean, spacious hotel with wonderfully warm and friendly staff. Our room was large with probably the largest bed we had ever slept on and the bathroom was also spacious. We loved the huge veranda with comfy lounge chairs, a perfect place for reading and chilling. On site free parking is a huge bonus for a hotel inside the Fort. The food is very good and the Sri Lankan coffee is excellent. The lovely garden with Araliya trees next to the dining area is very relaxing. The spa is small but the therapists are excellent and the prices are reasonable. We had to check out early and the staff were very accommodating, making sure we had an excellent early breakfast before departure. The location of the hotel is great, very central to many restaurants, shops, the ramparts and all the other attractions of the beautiful Galle Fort. We really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful hotel and we will definitely be back.

Hotel to choose for visiting Galle Fort, in the center of everything, the streets, the sea, the ramparts. Magnificent room, period decoration and spacious. Lots of small restaurants around. Very helpful and smiling staff. I recommend this hotel 100%
