One of the highlights of our stay was the spa experience—it was incredibly relaxing and professionally done, adding a special touch to our vacation. The rooms were comfortable, and the staff were warm and attentive throughout our stay. Housekeeping was occasionally a bit delayed, but it was only a minor issue and did not affect our overall experience. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend Radisson Collection Galle to anyone looking for a luxurious beachfront getaway in Sri Lanka!"

"We stayed 1 night here and enjoyed it very much. What really stood out was the amazing service which included a birthday cake, a free upgrade and a bubble bath for the birthday girl. The breakfast was delicious and ensured we were full for the whole day. The location of the hotel ensured you can stare out at the ocean from the terrace. We enjoyed a dip in the pool both days as the water was cool and refreshing after a hot walk in the fort. Complimentary morning coffee or tea was delivered to the room. The room and bathroom were beautifully done. Highly recommended."

"This is unquestionably a beautiful and charming place to stay. There is ample space to relax in as well as a pool. The staff are simply wonderful; incredibly polite, friendly and always willing to help. The breakfasts are just great, we opted to what was referred to as the ‘Western breakfast’, which included fresh fruit, juice , tea and coffee and then a range of choices including: poached eggs, full English, & French toast. The location was excellent, minutes from the old fort and restaurants. A great place!"

"We had an exceptional 8 day stay at Kahanda Kanda. The location of the hotel is incredible. Our villa (Kadju) had a view of the forest from the canopy level and we were treated daily to sightings of Langur monkeys, hornbills, parakeets, humming birds, peacocks and and array of other beautiful birds and lizards. None of these come too close or are a bother. They just make for spectacular viewing and entertainment so be sure to bring a camera and binoculars. The villa itself was amazing. It’s huge and well furnished with quality items and a real feeling of a bygone era with all the romance of the location to make you feel you are a million miles from anywhere. The shower, bed and facilities were outstanding and the air-con was efficient and hassle-free. We were extremely comfortable. We had an infinity pool which was perfect for cooling down and flapping around! The staff are brilliant. One of the real highlights we would say. Nothing is too much for them and they are keen to help. I needed a lot of information about the resort before we booked as I have a disability and some issues with steps. The reservation manager Aruna, made me videos and answered all my questions in details and at speed. It’s why we booked in the end. There are about 20-30 steps up to the reception on arrival which I found to be fine. There is a handrail to help and the staff will always help too. Our villa (Kadju) was near reception and the dining/pool area but was very separate from it so it was very quiet, not that it matters as the whole estate is quiet. There were no steps at all from the villa to the dining and reception area so it was perfect for me. There are a number of villas near the reception/dining area also without steps, so there is a good choice for those avoiding mobility difficulties. The food was exceptional. Set menu for three courses and about four options per course each day. There is also a la carte but we found that the set menu offered great choice even for 8 nights! We never tired of it and there was no significant repetition, if at all, from memory. Great wines and a huge range of cocktails and mocktails too. We were really surprised with how good the food was and we went with the belief the food was of a high standard. Compliments to the chef! We had a day trip to Galle and Galle Fort which we would highly recommend. Our tuk-tuk driver was happy to show us other places along the way too and it only cost about £10 in total (ex tip which we added). There are a wide range of other excursions offered too… from whale watching trips, to a boat outing on the nearby lake to many other smaller and less intense trips to stimulate the senses! Overall this was a real treat and we have travelled extensively throughout Asia for 30 years and this was an absolute gem. We will return for certain."

"I was so happy staying at this hotel. It is beautiful; designed by Ashley de Vos who was a student of Geoffrey Bawa. Clean and pleasing to the eye from the white frangipani trees to the squirrels in their branches. The food is good and it is conveniently located but best of all are the people. The staff are so helpful and kind from the manger who drove me himself to the chemists when I found I had left my medicine behind to Padmini the massage lady who gives such wonderfully soothing massages. When it was time to leave all I could say was, "But I don't want to go. Are the citizenship requirements in your country very difficult?'"

"This is a wonderful old hotel, with heaps of character based centrally within the fort, making it very easy to pop out for short excursions. It has just a small number of rooms but each is huge, with very high ceilings. The AC is extremely efficient, which is necessary here in Galle. The dining area, outside, has fans for comfort, and very good food. We did find the service at lunch and dinner was sometimes a bit slow, and had to ask for some items several times before they came, but overall it was very good. The swimming pool is lovely and surrounded by gorgeous trees."

"The hotel's overall decor and ambiance were great, but it was a shame there were no double beds and no option for an extra bed. The worst part was breakfast; you had to book it the night before, then they'd ask you again in the morning, so what was the point of booking ahead? Then the breakfast came out burnt and cold, even more basic than a $20 B&B breakfast. Lunch was ridiculously expensive. The manager is Chinese but never bothered to check on things. They should really stop advertising their 'Chinese hospitality' perks."

"The hotel isn't very big, and there's only one pool, but it wasn't crowded. Breakfast had limited options, though there were several curry dishes. There's a tiny private beach that's inaccessible at high tide. In the mornings, you can catch lots of small crabs there, which the kids loved! Galle Fort is very close by. There's also a large temple right outside the hotel, and a pretty decent-sized supermarket nearby."

"Had a great time and enjoyed some truly stunning views 😍 The staff were lovely and friendly but at times had to request or remind them about certain things, perhaps because we’re South Asians as most guests seemed to be Western. Some amenities listed such as toothpaste, toothbrush, slippers and a razor were not provided which was a little disappointing considering the price paid. Also noticed a few stains on the toilet floor and white curtains though it wasn’t a major issue. The breakfast buffet was good but wish there had been more variety. Overall had a lovely and memorable stay and really enjoyed the trip with my best friend."

"We loved this hotel. From the moment we arrived - at the back entrance that overlooks the Galle Fort ramparts and the sea, because I am disabled - we were made so welcome. It has to be said the back entrance has one step rather than the two at the front, but as I am not a wheelchair user (though I have no hands and no feet) that was a help. Our lovely room was on the ground floor, though the restaurant (breakfast inside) and terrace (dinner outside with a stunning view) is on the first floor - c. 15 wooden steps with a bend at bottom and top. Our room had a wonderful level access shower I could reach, so I was very happy! We loved the pool on the first floor, covered, quite narrow, but long enough for me at c. 7 metres. There is a ledge at the sea end from which you can sit and enjoy the crashing surf 50 yards away. The breakfast was lovely if very egg-centric - the banana bread toast particularly good. The dinner was a tad disappointing, understandably catering for an international clientele; if you want Sri Lankan dishes try the numerous all over the fort (we liked Malu). The view over the sea almost overcame that drawback, but not quite. That was the only reason why I couldn’t give it 5 stars. The ambience, the staff, the location, the view, the room and breakfast all shouted 5 stars +."
