Kids pool is amazing. Since we have visited on Sunday/Monday, all the other restaurants were closed. That's the main worry. Also, there is a limited choice in after hours and tea time. Limited varieties in Dinner. Also most of the dessert items are freezed and not fresh. However, good experience. Since we have not booked rooms with beach view, our room view is so bad. However, clean rooms and overall nice stay.

Hotel Riu Sri Lanka offers an average stay experience with some notable drawbacks. While marketed as a 5-star property, both the rooms and facilities fall short of this standard, resembling more of a 3-star accommodation. The main highlight is the all-inclusive package, which provides convenience for guests. However, beyond that, the hotel lacks distinguishing features or exceptional services commonly associated with higher-end establishments.

First time visiting Sri Lanka. Nothing but a completely positive experience. Arrived at the hotel early morning. Staff were great upon arrival and quick to check us in. All staff from reception, bar, entertainment, housekeeping and restaurants were amazing, so polite and nothing was ever too much to ask. Me and my partner got engaged along the coast on the beach. The hotel were great in secretly checking in and looking after my family until the event. Danny from reception was especially welcoming, friendly and attentive. Service was 10/10. Entertainment team were very funny and chatty. We joined in many of the different activities and games and won bottles of prosecco. They put on some good shows on a night too with Indian dancing, singing, parties. Food was lovely, very Sri Lankan but with English and international options. Al a carte restaurants were very nice too but need booking in advance. Hotel in general was spotlessly clean, housekeeping team were quick and efficient and made amazing towel art! Bedrooms nice and beds comfy. Lovely area of Sri Lanka, beautiful beach (be wary of independent tour sales people not linked to hotel. The tours are great and worth the money but AVOID SPICE GARDENS AND GEM SHOPS you will be pressured to spend all your money). View from the rooms and pools beautiful. Adult pool with swim up bar amazing! Areas of improvement: - could have some chilled background music playing in the adult pool bar. _ Al a carter's should be bookable by reception not just via the app and we had some issues trying to book for a table of 6. - drinks options could be more varied e.g. Flavoured gin/vodka. Some premium branded spirits for additional price. - band singer on a night after shows could be better. Overall amazing hotel, beautiful country, lovely people and so many things to see and do.

Very nice people and a good service from all at Riu Sri Lanka. Good wiev from room to the Beach and sundowner. We miss beer in the room, but could find it in the bar. Thanks for a good holiday. The weather was also very good without much rain (May)
