The room was clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. The hotel is located in perfect location. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting downtown Galway.

We checked in today and from the moment we drove into the carpark, when we were guided earnestly into a spot, the culture of the Hotel is exemplary. Our family was greeted by smiles and welcomes from all staff members and, being so impressed with the hotel, I asked Bridget at reception if we could extend to 2 nights. Bridget kindly did all she could and thankfully managed to sort us out with an excellent option. The room was spotless and perfect for our family’s needs. Congratulations to Carlene and the whole Western team on managing such a fine establishment. It is not easy building and maintaining a culture like this, particularly in an environment that has changed so much over the past 4 years. Bravo! Cheers, Scott

Just brought our mom to Galway for the first time and stayed here as its location made things within walking distance. The hotel was clean, fairly quiet and the staff friendly and helpful. It’s not fancy but had everything most people need for a visit to the area. The dining is fantastic and you can walk all over the city from here! We had a great stay!

Not stay western hotel but have lunch here that staff very nice, and comfortable environment. i ate roast of the day that taste not bad and price also acceptable. Rainy day i spent over an hour here and quite enjoy the relaxing vibes. ok to try.

Great location. Impeccably clean. Umbrellas available to use if needed. Short walk to Galway ***** of shops, pubs. Would definitely stay again. Would definitely stay again. Staff very attentive, accommodating. Beds extremely comfortable.

Great location, clean and the quadruple room had a really great set-up. The staff was kind, the beds were comfortable. The only room for improvement would be to have better climate control in the room. Our room was really hot overnight making it difficult to sleep. We turned the knob on the radiator and cracked the window open and it still wasn't enough.

Room nicely appointed. Very helpful tourist advice on reception. However, bit disappointed with some issues given the price paid although my traveling partner managed to get a discount . My room was cold on the grounds that the pipe was a long way from a radiator! Helpful receptionist did offer to look into .. too late then. Biggest problem was greasy Irish breakfast. Asked if I could have mine grilled. Not possible apparently ! First time I have known that.Porridge was good though thankfully My travel partner left some cooked breakfast as was cold and greasy ( kitchen was having problems) Sorry to leave a mixed review which I rarely do, but I was disappointed I’m afraid. ps Beware of tucking in to the tempting hamper of biscuits crisp etc…they’re not free. Price list at the back. I didn’t see it at first.My fault. Thanks for reading

The hotel is perfectly situated to enjoy all the benefits of Galway city centre and has its own underground car park. The room we stayed in was comfortable and very clean but not that big. The breakfast was great as was the food in the restaurant and at the bar. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome
