While the hotel and people there were nice, The Hardiman did not hold up compared to other 4-star hotels. The rooms were very warm and there is no AC option available. The bathrooms were okay but not great. I was surprised for the price we paid to be this disappointed by the stay. I would stay again if the price were lower or some improvement were done as the location was great right off the park and walking distance to so many restaurants and shops. It definitely holds to a historic look, but some upkeep is needed.

It took almost five minutes to walk there from the train station. Easy walking distance to the numerous pubs and restaurants in Galway Center. Directly adjacent to a wonderful open park area .

Lovely hotel in a great location for the city centre. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Main areas of hotel are well kept and plush. Excellent breakfast. Only minor criticism is some parts of the hotel are a bit worn and room too hot. Would return again.

This hotel is so charming, the staff super friendly and welcoming. Location is perfect - close to restaurants, shopping and fun music and pubs. Breakfast was wonderful. Highly recommend.

The staff were lovely and the room was gorgeous and comfortable. We decided to pay the extra to get breakfast delivered to the room and we were both very disappointed. There was no full Irish option so my husband went with the breakfast roll which was on a hamburger bun and wasn’t good. I ordered the breakfast wrap that was served on a pita bread, not a wrap and the scrambled eggs were cold. For the price we were paying I was expecting a much nicer breakfast with better options.

Very disappointing. Sleeping in a room that’s an addition from the 70s over the roadway on stilts and having cars drive literally under us as well as having drunks walking on the road under us screaming was not what I was sold visually online when looking at this hotel. The awful additions were never shown online.

Stayed in the Hardiman in Galway Last night for the 1st time and it did Not disappoint. Sinead at reception represented the Hotel to Perfection and could not have been nicer and more helpful to us, Keep her 😉. Margaret was another Lady who stood out to us whether she was doing drinks in the bar or serving breakfast, she is fantastic at her job, another Keeper. Hotel is clean and the decor is 2nd to none. We had our meal in MacNeills downstairs and I could not say a bad word about this little Gem.... Salmon starter followed by the Beef Burger 10/10 and I have to mention the Chips, didn't need salt or mayo or anything else, they were delicious. Breakfast was buffet service with Everything you need, Brie cheese was the iceing on the cake, very good Breakfast. The location in Galway is ideal and we came home on the bus which is a 30 second walk around the corner. Well done to the whole team and I WILL be back asap. Love the Hardiman.

The Hardiman is a lovely period hotel right in the centre of Galway city. A great location. The room was big and comfortable with great views over Eyre Square. All the staff were all excellent and so was the food. Great value package for a deluxe double room including dinner and breakfast. I also requested flowers and a “rose petal turndown” for the room to surprise my wife when we arrived. The bed was beautifully laid out with rose petals and the bunch of flowers was beautiful too. My wife was very impressed. Overall we had a wonderful experience and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a classy place to stay in Galway

We had booked through our group but it was not acknowledged. In fact they ended up changing our room to a less desirable one even though the room was provided late (we found out by the tags on our bags listing a different room). More an issue was half the staff were wonderful, half were stuffy and unfriendly. From one we received poor directions and a poor recommendation and from another excellent directions and recommendation. On checkout, even with twice the requested notice we did not have a ride to the airport, it was significantly late and very concerning. There are too many hotels in Dublin to chance problems like this. One detail, for such a well-appointed hotel, the only USB charging points were in a clock on one bedside table.
