Hotel is well situated (15min bus from Galway city center). Our room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed (tv, little tea station, a closet to hang clothes). Only thing missing was a mini fridge. There were also a couple of spots on the carpet, but nothing major. The breakfast is good, does the job. Overall quite an expensive stay, but enjoyable.

We had a fantastic stay here. Two nights B&B with dinner both nights. The service in the bar and restaurant was brilliant, a particular shout out to Pierce, Emma and Olivia, they are a real credit! The rooms are so clean and comfortable, breakfast has plenty of choice no matter what you may prefer, continental or cooked breakfast and easy to access! I would have no problem recommending this hotel to anyone and we will definitely be back.

Had a wondering stay. Great welcome on reception upon arrival. Room beautiful and spotless. Dinner was lovely and Emma was very good at her job and very friendly. Will definitely be back. Great hotel and great staff. Well done on all the efforts to improve the environment, great to see the recycling bins available on all floors and the sustainable water in the room.

The restaurant service and the food in the Clayton was better than any hotel food I’ve ever tried. We got a three course meal and it was all delicious. Not to take away from the amazing hotel and restaurant staff who looked after us during our stay. A lot of young people working in the hotel who are all very professional and friendly. 10/10.

hotel is ok the staff are ok . the breakfast was ok but not great , one morning we had to wait for cups and glasses to be washed . it took 15 minutes or more to get a coffle because they only had one machine working . I asked for pouched eggs one morning they came to the table just as I flinched my breakfast. we woke up to no coffee or sugar or milk in the room even doe we had the means to make a coffee just nothing to do it with., I rang down to ask if they could send someone up with them , it took an hour and 15 minute's . this hotel is clean even it is a little run down . we had a lovely waitress in the bar her name was Amy . she was so helpful with advice on what to do and where to go in the city and the public transport. she was a really good waitress in every way. the pool was not worth getting into tina not that clean and they have a lot of kids lessons on . the pool man even told us we would be better off coming back down after 7 pm.

My family and I had a fantastic trip to the Clayton over the Easter holidays. I would like to compliment all of the staff. The location is ideal. Great parking. We used the bus service to get to town and also to Salthill. Great service outside the door of the hotel. Well done Bus Eireann. On time and excellent, The room for four of us two adults and two kids was very spacious and one of the main reasons that I would recommend this hotel for a family of four. There was so much room for all of us. Often family rooms are so tight and small . I can only speak about the room we stayed in -159 if anyone wants to request it. We ate in the bar every evening as it suited our days. The bar food was excellent every evening and there is a great selection. All of the bar staff deserve great credit as it was so busy most evenings and like a lot of hotels it seemed understaffed at times. But the service did not suffer. Shout out to Anne In the bar in particular. A great team in the bar. The pool was a big plus for us and we went every morning. Breakfast was excellent too. We will definitely return and I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel had a good variety of gluten free breakfast available and the staff were very nice. The room was ok except the bathroom had a loose tile (picture attached) it was right in front of the toilet and "moved" every time you stepped on it. This can pose a trip hazard and honestly doesn't seem hard to fix as the tile is intact just needs gluing down/new grout, which ideally is something you could have fixed between people checking in/out.

Great experience, Reception staff were all very friendly and welcoming. My room was great, comfortable bed, clean and tidy. Restaurants were great with good selection on the menu. The location was ideal, close enough to get into town, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. I was very happy with my stay
