Nice hotel with parking (extra at £5 per day)
Rooms were cold so had to put heater on all night which wasn't a problem. Staff very friendly. We stayed on floor 6 top floor room 602 and would definitely consider staying again.

I guess its not any fault of the staff that the hotel now takes in homeless who congregate by the entrance, drunk, vulgar, loud, unwashed and the stench of **** is horrific. Although the staff could move them on from the smoking and outdoor seating areas that you have to pass to enter the reception. I overheard the staff telling one of them you need to contact the council in the morning to see if you can stay longer. The hotel has a responsibility to inform paying guests that this is happening. We’ve gone to this hotel 4 years in a row as it’s really convenient for a visit to Newcastle but sadly we won’t be returning.

Ramada Encore, Gateshead, has been my home away from home for almost a year now. Hailing from Scotland and working in the North East of England isn't everyone's basket, but when you're dealing with a team like Richard (the Manager) has, it makes it worth while. Leanne and the team at the front office & reception provide excellent, always welcoming friendly service, and the breakfast team of Jen, Carol & Sam really set up your day with great service and a bit of banter thrown in. Great team!

Convenient hotel for a short stay. Easy access to transport links and the quayside.we didn't eat there but the food looked reasonably priced and good for a bistro style meal.

Wonderful hotel with amazing staff. We stay at this bottle four or five times a year. It doesn’t matter which members of staff we see, everyone of them always goes the extra mile for us. This time it was Kim on reception, who took the time and trouble to untangle our rather messy booking. Smiling and laughing all the way through it. Thank you Kim and thank you to all the staff. You make us look forward to the next visit.
