Booked for Sunday lunch. Lovely lunch, overpriced but nice. Big let down is the waiting staff and staff on checking into restaurant. Miserable and no interpersonal skills. Asked for a table inside. Waitress said they were booked but werent used while we were there

No power point next to the bed, breakfast was not a great quality eggs was sloppy, could be the strain but not great, no phone in room if you require the reception or room service. The shower/bath combo was needs handrails for the shower as the step up into the bath and was very daunting having a shower as there was no grip on the bath base so getting out was potentially dangerous. The bed was 2 singles pushed together with only a bed sheet holding them together, and not the most comfortable bed in the world but not the worst also. If there is a wedding you can’t not gain access to the rooms without going outside and using the sliding doors which has a step up so anyone with mobility issues just be aware as also there are tiles on the floor outside which are very slippery at any time.

Stayed here couple times now can't fault the place good size rooms and beds clean tidy , bath filled very quick. Staff are amazing so friendly each and everyone of them . We booked same rooms this time as we had last Yr as we could park outside the patio doors and our friends were just next door which was great , peaceful and quiet , beautiful perfect poached eggs at breakfast . 😊

We had lunch at the Beamish Park restaurant yesterday. The restaurant is very comfortable and the staff are very friendly. We all had mains and desserts and the main courses were reasonably priced and good quality. Three of our party chose Mango Bavarois which they enjoyed. I chose the cheesecake which was delicious but the portion was about the size of my finger. For £7.50 I expected a slice of cheesecake. Another of our party had 3 scoops of ice cream costing £6. Again these scoops were very small for the price. Would return to this hotel for a meal, however, I won’t be having a dessert.

Stayed at this hotel so we could visit Beamish. Great location. The food is amazing. The chicken supreme is outstanding. Staff are attentive. Hotel is absolutely lovely and would stay again. I expect breakfast will be great.

Lovely hotel in a brilliant location with very friendly staff. We were celebrating a special wedding anniversary and the staff went out of their way to make it a special stay, leaving a card and rose petals in our room as well as decorating our table in the restaurant- thank you, we really appreciated it. We had a large deluxe room on first floor. Everywhere was exceptionally clean and facilities were good. Breakfast was good with a selection of cereals etc to self serve and cooked food made to order which was of a high standard. We ate in the restaurant each night and the food was excellent quality, served by very friendly staff. Location is excellent, very close to Beamish museum and we caught the bus into Newcastle close to the hotel which was far more relaxing than trying to park! A great stay, would highly recommend.

Very pleasant & helpful staff.
Good food & convenient location for our requirements.
The rooms are in need of a refurbishment, despite which they are warm & comfortable.
No doubt we will be back for another stay.
