IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn

Das Hotel: Gewohnt hohe Qualität (wir hatten die Ennstal Classic Suite). Größe, Ausstattung und Zustand ganz nahe an der Perfektion. Der Spa-Bereich ist üppig ausgestattet und lädt zu Entspannung und Erholung ein. Restaurants / Frühstück: Außergewöhnlich hohes Niveau bei der Qualität der Speisen. Frühstück mit exklusiver Auswahl an Speisen die keinen Wunsch offen lässt. Personal: Vom Hausdiener über das Restaurantteam und die Reception bis hin zur Geschäftsleitung konnten wir natürliche Herzlichkeit (und keine nur gespielte Freundlichkeit) genießen. Das Team des Schloss Pichlarn hebt sich deutlich (positiv) von anderen Hotels ab. Der Golfplatz: Befand sich im Umbau für die Aufnahme zu den „Leading Courses of Austria“ und war deshalb nur eingeschränkt bespielbar. Die freigegebenen Bahnen hatten noch deutliche „Narben“ der Drainagierungsmaßnahmen und der Erweiterung der Bewässerungsanlage. Im Vergleich zu bekannten Anlagen der „Leading Courses of Austria“ ist es aber noch ein großer Sprung. Zusammengefasst haben wir unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und waren schon beim Check-out mit der Planung unseres nächsten Besuchs beschäftigt.

Bereits die Ankunft im Hotel war trotz des miserablen Wetters ein Erlebnis. Freundlicher Empfang durch den „Mann für Alles“ mit vielen Informationen, professioneller Check-in mit kompetentem und ebenfalls freundlichen und lachenden Gesichtern. Frühstück: große Auswahl, viele Schloss-Pichlarn-Specials Abendessen: jeden Tag eine neue Gaumenfreude, Küchenkreationen vom Feinsten Herrliche Dekoration der Tische, freundliche KellnerInnen, gute Beratung - geht nicht gibts nicht. Jede Sekunde war ein Erlebnis Das ganze Haus stilvoll, trotz der wenigen Gäste war keiner missgelaunt. Und den Golfplatz hatten wir fast für uns alleine; auch den mehr als großzügigen S.P.A.-Bereich mussten wir kaum mit anderen teilen; chillen war angesagt Kurzum: es war toll, wir kommen wieder. Nächsten mal mit den E-Bikes

Das Gebäude und die Freiflächen sind prachtvoll. Auch unser Zimmer war sehr schön, mit tollem Balkon. Leider nicht mit einer eigenen Duschkabine. Team der Rezeption/Empfang und Hausdiener ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch das Service im Restaurant gut. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr gut. Das Essen der Halbpension ist gut aber nicht hervorragend. Der Spa und Schwimmbereich ist toll. Leider die Massage ist nur mit Navigationssystem auffindbar- und über zig Stufen zu erreichen. Der Golfplatz ist enttäuschend. Unfreundlicher Empfang, Teilumbau des Platzes - ohne Beschilderung - man muss Löcher auslassen ohne zu wissen wo man weitergeht. Ein paar Schilder könnten nicht schaden ! Dass man trotz alle dem 45€ für das Cart bezahlen muss ist eine Frechheit ! Ist vielleicht nur mein persönlicher Eindruck- ich finde auch einige Löcher eher Hochschaubahn als Golfplatz geeignet.

As guests of a special celebration, we arrived full of anticipation, but unfortunately we were really disappointed by the poor performance in the F&B at dinner and by an absolutely loveless suite. Not to go beyond the scope of this review: There is a lack of structure and leadership, a service mentality was only evident in the staff in the F/O, certainly our last visit to this hotel, which has a lot of potential that is far from being exploited - what a pity!

The hotel is a dream, the staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and very nicely decorated. I have rarely had such a great breakfast buffet. The food in the restaurant was of a very high standard. We will definitely be back+++++

We felt very comfortable at Schloss Pichlarn from the very beginning. It starts with a very friendly welcome, where the hotel and amenities are explained. It continues with the service in the restaurant, you really get the feeling that they want to do everything to ensure that guests have a pleasant stay. The cuisine is excellent, absolutely cleverly prepared and very tasty dishes. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, fruit, cereal, sausage, cheese, egg dishes, etc., you can't really get more than that. The wellness area is very clean and exceptionally large. Due to their size, both the indoor and outdoor pools are really suitable for swimming and not just for "getting used to the water". The golf course belonging to the hotel is challenging due to the slopes and some "blind holes". Accuracy and caution are required here. A cart is recommended. We had a great time at the castle, we would love to come back.

After the new owners took over, we also wanted to spend a weekend at Pichlarn Castle and arrived with high expectations after a day of skiing in Schladming. Checking in was made easier with a glass of champagne and our car was also parked in the car park. The location and view are worth the trip. We then went to our room, which was small but very nicely furnished. It was only when we saw the bathroom that we asked ourselves if that could really be true. It wasn't the size of the bathroom that bothered us, but the very small bathtub, which makes showering almost impossible for a man. Unfortunately, our visit to the wellness center was more than disappointing. In the relaxation area next to the sauna and the jacuzzi, a child was trying out his jumping talent and, apart from the noise, everything around the jacuzzi was splashed with water, increasing the risk of slipping. Nobody took care of the wetness, which is more than surprising for a hotel of this class. Apart from that, children shouldn't be allowed in the nude area. Even in the relaxation area under the roof, which is beautiful in itself, you couldn't relax because there were children running around there too. The dinner was very good and the atmosphere in the restaurant pleasant and quiet. There was a birthday party going on in the fireplace room next door, but that didn't bother anyone until bedtime. Unfortunately, at reception we were given a room that was directly above the birthday party, so we were unable to sleep as we were kept awake by loud music and barking dogs. The fact that this room was given out even though the hotel was more or less fully booked was more than frustrating. In the morning when we were in the shower we noticed that the drain was blocked, which is more than awful. So I would just like to mention the dinner and breakfast as they have everything a breakfast lover could wish for. The same goes for check-out until 12 noon and the option to extend your stay in the wellness area, which we were happy to use, as well as a treatment in the beauty center. Conclusion: The Hotel Pichlarn unfortunately has to try very hard to make up for the price/performance ratio!
