Harana Surf Resort

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! terrible experience at Harana. I paid 50,000 pesos for the surf camp and was completely dissatisfied with it. The biggest advice I can give is: go somewhere else! The prices don't make sense compared to the rest of General Luna/Siargao. The restaurant food is decent and the service is slow. There is an extra charge for almost everything and the food included in the camp package (breakfast and lunch) has a very limited choice. The biggest disappointment was: it's not a camp! don't imagine a group of people doing activities together etc. It's literally a place where you sleep, eat and surf alone! The dormitory has no curtains, consequently no privacy at all! electricity comes and goes at night, so it can get hot. had ants in the bed but other then that it's a well kept place. Beware of the scam, many of the things they said were "included" were not. No photos/videos of the surfing (when I asked for explanations I was told that they are only taken at the last of the 5 lessons, but due to injury I was unable to do the last two). Same thing with the Surf Fit Training course ("it wasn't available" when I asked for information) and the non-existent "post surf analysis". Last but not least my return airport transfer was 1 hour late and I almost missed my flight, despite insisting at reception. if you guys want to surf in siargao, go to a nice hostel, and book private surf lessons, is going to be way cheaper and way better.

Awesome surf resort with ever so kind and helpful staff. I stayed in a community villa which was really spacious. Even though it’s a 12 bed dorm, it never felt crowded or noisy. Surf guides were really helpful and knowledgeable, there was a good selection of surfboards to rent. Restaurant serves great breakfast, and if you miss it because of surfing, you can get a takeaway box. Really good value resort with great vibes. I met some awesome people. Keep up a great work!

Lovely surf resort very close to Cloud Nine. Rooms are basic but clean and provide exactly what you need, though there could be more blankets on the beds rather than just one sheet. The landscaped gardens are beautiful and you can hear the ocean. There is a party every Saturday night so be warned that it does get very noisy then especially if your room is close to the restaurant. Staff are very friendly and can book whatever activities you need. There's an ATM right outside the resort and tuk tuks come by pretty often. A good number of restaurants are within walking distance as well. Overall a nice stay away from the main street of General Luna but still accessible to the center of town.

Super accommodating staff and clean facility. The hotel aranged the transfers and provided options on how we can explore the island more. Despite the fact the hotel has no pool, the main idea of being in siargao is be with nature. I recommend the surf school and the accessibility to Tuason point at the back of the hotel. If you are looking for a swimming area this area is not the right area. The Saturday party was WOW, i loved how they encourage locals to provide and showcase their food. The concepet of carts on the side was awesome. Taking into consideration that Siargao was previously hit by a big typhoon, the hotel was able to bounce back well.

Amazing resort, our rooms were impeccable, the garden is being kept every day and is beautiful all the way to the beach. The food in the restaurant is great and most importantly the staff was so nice and friendly, especially to the kids :) Thanks so much for making our stay so comfortable and easy going!

The hotel is a kubo type modern cabin. The feelz of an island dwelling is there. The price is just right for a party of 3. We got the deluxe 8 and it also has a balcony. The bathroom and shower are noth clean and with hot water. The problem is just the fluctuating electricity which is Siargao’s problem. Pity to the hotels coz the airconditioners will greatly be affected by this on and off thing in power supply. The mayor ahould do soemthing about the power supply in the island.

READ BEFORE YOU BOOK: - No beach facilities such as sunbeds, etc., and no pool are available. - Swimming in the sea is not possible due to rocks. - Storage and consumption of food, alcohol, and beverages from outside are not permitted inside the room. (You have to sign a special form). - There is no WiFi in the room, only at the restaurant. - No SafeBox / No Mini-Fridge. - Housekeeping is only available upon request.

I stayed for 4 nights. Comfortable large bed (two singles together) and good air conditioning. Lots of work happening to build / re-build, starting at 645am with angle grinders. I assume that this won't last forever. Lots of dogs barking all hours of night and day. Highly recommended, but overpriced vs. other places on the island.
