we wanted to have a drink on the rooftop but it was closed so we went to the other bar, the lady at the bar Margaux was so nice and really funny ! She prepared some amazing cocktails, best espresso martini ever ! The view from the rooftop should be really nice.

Cosy place - amazing location- service fast and quick- staff is helpful and friendly , it was river view and was amazing . I think after renovation it will be amazing. The room was a bit small but yet the special feeling with historical building overcomes that

Upon checking in we were told they had this planned power outage 12-5am, which already sounded like a problem. At midnight everything turned off including air so it because it got stuffy and hot , I opened window and listened to traffic and people noise for about an hour, finally started to nod off at 245, at 330am all of the lights came blazing on (even though I had turned them off before the power cut) so woke me up and then 4am they went back off/ air circulating problem repeated, then 5am everything blazed back on again. So woke up again so I slept from 530-725 when my alarm went off. Absolutely unacceptable. When I complained I was offered a 50% off voucher. Absolutely disgraceful and arrogant behaviour from the hotel. Has made a day of meetings very difficult. Will not be staying here again.

my experience in the hotel was very good. The hotel ambience was classic but the room was modern, big and comfy (I stayed in the 'lifestyle room'. The service was good and the staff was friendly. When I made my booking I requested a big bed (not 2 single beds) and they told me that they would give me the big mattress but the foundation of the bed would be 2 beds and asked if I would be ok with it which I said I would be ok as long as I get the big mattress. Upon arrival my room was not ready as it was way before check-in time. The staff was so helpful that they apologized to me and said they would prepare the room urgently and asked if I could spare them 30 minutes which was a very good gesture as that was still in the morning and I didn't aspect to be able to check-in. Everyday the staff would smile and said hello every time I walked pass them which was very nice. The were very friendly, polite, and accommodating. The rooftop bar was very nice and I went up there often Now the touch up that I think would make it better is breakfast. Their breakfast was not 5-star breakfast so this is the area where they should work on. Anther area to work on is to apply the keycard system to the elevator which would make the hotel more secured. If they can fix this it would be a perfect hotel.

The hotel is undergoing renovations that require much of the front of the hotel to be hidden behind scaffolding. The new temporary entrance is to the right hand side of the hotel. Renovations are expected to last for a year. However, impact inside the hotel is minimal. My reservation was upgraded to a refurbished room overlooking the lake. Beautiful appointed with a contemporary feel. Service throughout the hotel continues to be immaculate & The Metropole remains my 'go to' hotel in Geneva.

I was able to stay in a recently renovated room which was great. Rooftop bar at sunset is a 10! Looking forward to final renovations to be complete.

Das Metropole ist ein ehrwürdiges Hsus in bester Lage für den Besuch der benachbarten Boutiquen von Mode und Joaillerie, das Genf der Banken und Organisationen findet eher am rechten Ufer statt. Sehr gepflegte Suite mit unschlagbarem Blick auf den See mit dem Jet d'Eau, abends besonders schön durch die farbige Illumination. Dazu Blumenuhr, Riesenrad und Jardin Anglais. Die offensichtlich wechselnden Housekeeping- Mitarbeiter zeichneten sich allesamt durch Aufmerksamkeit und Sorgfalt aus, Kompliment an die Organisation. Schade, dass wohl wegen des Betriebs des Rooftop die Mirror Bar abends nicht geöffnet ist- die agressive Musik oben und die reduzierte Auswahl reizt nicht zum Verbleib. Besonders hervorheben in Bezug auf den Service möchte ich einen Herrn, dessen Name mir nicht bekannt ist, er war am 1.8. jedenfallls als Concierge im Frühdienst.

Für einen Tapetenwechsel in diesen Zeiten hatten wir uns für Genf entschieden. Das Hotel Metropole liegt am See mit Blick auf den Jet d'eau. Es war eine gute Wahl. Ausgesprochen freundlicher Empfang durch den Rezeptionisten Cédric. Modernes schönes Zimmer mit wunderbarer Aussicht in der obersten Etage. Darüber war nur die Rooftop Terrasse, die eine fantastische Sicht über die Stadt und das Seebecken erlaubt. Ausgesprochen beliebt, vor dem Hotel stehen die Leute Schlange dafür. Als Hotelgast ist man da natürlich privilegiert. Das Abendessen im Restaurant Gusto war sehr sehr gut und das Preis-Leistung Verhältnis mehr als fair. Das ganze Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und dekoriert. Die Lage direkt am See, nahe bei den Einkaufsstrassen und der Altstadt ist ein grosses Plus. Absolut empfehlenswert, wir kommen gerne wieder!
