We had the most amazing time!
Jane and her team were super accommodating but gave us loads of space to explore the property.
Even my 13 year old was impressed!

A homestay in the old town of George.
The decoration is quite unique, with four rooms transformed from an old historical house. On the first floor is a small shop and coffee shop built by the owner himself. The rooms are not big overall.
As a homestay, it is quite satisfactory, with everything that a homestay should have.
There are also no things that a homestay should not have, such as no toothbrush, no towels to be changed every day, and no timely cleaning every day.
The price feels a bit expensive, and the room we stayed in is on the north side.
There is a big problem with this, because it is on the street, and the sleep quality is not good. Choose carefully, especially opposite a school, which is extremely noisy in the morning.
Overall, if you want to feel the Nanyang style, it is suitable to live and feel it.

The host, Jane, was a lovely lady who really tried hard to ensure our stay was special. She was so kind and helpful. The rooms are very clean and the location is perfect. Right in heart of Georgetown, close to everything for waking on foot, but equally nicely away from the noise at night. Jane also suggested a tour with the lovely Lau, which was amazing and highly recommended for anyone looking to try as many of the different street food options in small places across the town that only the locals eat in. We would never have found these gems on our own without this relaxed and interesting tour! I highly recommend You le Yuen. Without doubt, the perfect place to stay to get a true experience in Georgetown!

We could not find a taxi kiosk inside the hotel but there were plenty of taxis outside. It's an half hour ride to the hotel. You have to order your breakfast the night before and give a rough time. The breakfast comes with fresh orange juice and great coffee or tea. There are plenty of cheap places to eat close by. If they don't serve alcohol you can get beer from the supermarket at the bottom of Love Lane. There also a few bars at the bottom of Love Lane. We can recommend Micke's Place where they had live music every night starting about 9pm. Even though the bottom of Love Lane is very busy the hotel is far enough away so there was no noise at night. We can recommend this hotel if you like something different.

The experience at You Le Yuen is fantastic Its a beautiful building and the room are charming. Pei, Jane and Ryan go out of their way to make sure that you have everything you need. They give great advice on where to eat and what to see and can organise fantastic tours (food and sites) with their lovely guide Lau. The BnB is perfectly located to walk around the old parts of George Town and close to fantastic food, both street food and restaurants. Highly recommend a stay here.

Awsome place to stay very central in George Town! So many nice details, very personal with only 4 room and the hoste Jane is amazing. Very warm welcome, many good tips. Especially the Tour with „Loveley Lau“ is something to do! A private Tour with good food and nice sights.😊 Would definitely recommand this hotel and come back.
