New hotel but breakfast not many varieties. But the unacceptable thing is the very strong smell of sewage when you feel it on the veranda. This smell is felt around the hotel and even around other buildings. The Penang government needs to take seriously the issue of sewerage with the poor condition of the city.

The room was nice and comfortable, overall fairly clean, and the soundproofing was acceptable. The hotel staff were generally friendly.
Although the Malay lady at the front desk didn't seem friendly at first glance, she still maintained a friendly attitude while helping us check in. The hotel's location is convenient, close to many attractions and easy to walk around.
However, when we checked in, there seemed to be a problem with the hotel's system, and we were given already-occupied rooms twice in a row, which delayed our schedule a bit. Overall, it was still a good experience.

Having reviewed many hotel options in Penang available through Trip.com, we decided to select Victoria Garden Hotel despite there were a few remarks posted earlier. We were glad to have made the right choice for a cozy, nice boutique sort of hotel with clean comfortable and secured room. Staff were very friendly. It was a pleasant stay for us. We have taken some pictures to show what we experienced.
